Thread: So We're Officially Loot Whores Now?

Help me Wes Belden, you're my only hope.
So I can't slice without tools I've looted. I can't sell spice unless I've looted it. So my only function anymore in this game, no matter what profession I run to is to either be a loot **edit** or a PvP duelist?
I DO like the bazaar changes...well I WOULD if I weren't a merchant who wanted to sell his illegal wares. There's NO reason for me to keep my merchant profession anymore.
There's still no real smuggling. Just mission running. Can someone please explain to me that I'm not understanding this correctly?
I know. My first words in five months and they're not "Hi!" But I really wanna know what happened to my ROLE PLAYING Game.

Nope, still in concept.
To be honest, I don't know. We have a (hopefully) comprehensive list of questions for the devs, but until they're answered, not sure. Some sort of Smuggler altered vendor might be on the cards, it might not; we'll just have to see if it's possible or not.
As for real Smuggling.. given the yo-yo direction of development over the past two years, I very much doubt we'll ever see the strict rules that penalise and/or prevent players from doing things and moving certain things from point A to point B that the Empire is supposed to impose; the only chance of such a thing in my view is either as part of revamping the GCW (if and when that happens) or an underworld expansion, which would require them to fix the GCW first and would likely resort to adding the extra faction they've said they now know how to do and along with it missions/quests, rather than laying down the law of the Empire.
All speculation based off what I've seen over the past 2 years in announcements and patch notes, but that's all..
As I've said elsewhere, I'll re-post the list of questions for us to go over before the devs look over it properly, so you can make sure that your concerns are brought up and relevant questions asked.
