Ok I am a respec Smuggler but as with all my toons I look to be well at what I do and learn not expect clicking the buttons to get there is not fun being there and learning is we have all grinded at one point or another. that said

If the flow analyzer mode works 50-75% of the time and the mol Clamp work 100% of the time along with the fact that the FAN requires high con metal i used yosek copper on the last few i made to get a 29 exp would it not make since, that if we were to use a high qual FAN that we have a much better chance of getting a great slice rather then an average slice for a mol clamp. I have tested this some. Not extesively as I am slicing elite weapons and dont want to spend all the cash on em and i really see no change between a slice that works with the FAN and one that works with the clamp. Is this something that is being addressed or is it best to just stick with the clamps?

I think we might as well just delete the FAQ thread...seriously.

OK...

1. Resource and tool quality absolutely has NO affect on slice results. Never did and doesn't now.

2. If you are a Master Smuggler there is absolutely NO reason to use a FAN. For that matter there never WAS a reason to use a FAN. Even before you could make your own Clamps you should have just been buying them or you were wasting your time.

Oh, and before some 'new' how-to-control-your-slice scheme pops up...there aren't any.

Actually, I had to use FANs back before clamps were being sold and I was only at Slicing IV. They were useful then, especially when you used 2-3 on the same slice.

Also dinosaurs roamed the earth

And the reason we didn't have swoops is because we hadn't invented the wheel

Heck, the Emperor wasn't even collecting Social Security yet

But haven't used one since. No, wait--a few months back I built a couple FANs named "CHIIRAK STINKS!" (Chiirak being a wookiee friend of mine) and hid them around his house. Unfortunately, I don't think he ever noticed them, but it still counts.

LOL, if any of you know Nx01 on the ahazi boards when he invited me over to his house (in game of course...he took me to someone elses house to show me the pre-nerf houses) of course when we got back to his thing

i hid the omni-box in the couch and tried to take the narglon up the stairs

NX01 also (my other friend gave him admin to his house by accident) made a macro to move stuff randomly around fast, it scared the bejeusus out of my other friend

i remember those days...

i had a dinosaur...and had a petradon (those...things on dath)and a Malcoc(how do you spell those things?)
and CH was COOL to have and EVERYONE had it

wasnt a smuggler though, a BH, but i picked it up soon after.../sigh good times... we spent 3 hours looking for a darned Kigmola and couldnt find any....

petition to rollback to august of 2003?

I used fans to slice terminals and clamps for containers. When I could make clamps I stiopped using fans.

Hmm... I think the only time I've made FANs were just for house decoration.

I agree... let's delete the FAQ... clearly it is justtaking up disk space.

Ahhh, back in the day when there were less then a half a dozen master smugglers, and no one made clamps to sell. I remember fondly making my way through slicing using 3 FAN's for each slice. It's a shame that new smugglers can't experience that pain!

And yes, the FAQ should simply be removed so that we can all take the time to answer questions instead of one person taking the time to read the FAQ. Clearly we all have tiem to waste.
