I have read the guide and FAQ, but cannot find the answer to one basic question :

Are ALL slicing toolkits, toolsets and components single use only? Or are SOME of them "permanent use"?

(I should point out that I have not yet managed to loot any items, so i cannot simply try to see for myself.

For example, taking a basic slicing sequence, I will need:

1st slice (just smuggler skill)

2nd slice (simple toolkit)

3rd slice (finely crafted toolset)

4th slice (delicate trigger assembly).

Let's imagine I have already looted one of each of the above kits/components, and I use them for the slicing. Is that it? Or can i use some of them again/forever?

I have found a smuggler vendor where items such as the delicate trigger assemblyare 800K !!! If this is 800K for a single-use item, then its totally crazy ... !?

Thank you for your help

Wow ... in which case, isn't it strabge that they are being sold for 100-800K on this vendor I saw. It is a fully stocked vendor as well, with only smuggler slicing components.

At these sorts of prices, it would cost 1.4 million credits to slice each piece of armour. So a full sliced set would cost 12.6 million !

I don't know, maybe this guy has got all his prices wrong ... ?

Also, as all components now have to be looted, will I ever actually be able to slice full sets of armour? I'm going to need zillions of loots ...

Some parts just drop more than others. Ironicaly the mid-range tools are the most rare.

Ok, thanks.

Btw, I have since discovered the real problem. This guy is selling components about 10+ times more expensive than anyone else ... for example, the average price for simple toolkits is 5K (though have just bought 20 for 1K each) ... his price is 80K each!!

I should have checked a load more vendors before posting ...

Vendor search is your friend. it eliminates these people who dont check prices before listing their stuff at silly money. Apart from the people who have credits to burn and cant be bothered to check vendor search and just buy from the first place they find them.

vendor search is a life saver for slicing components, especially if you have a greedy BH asking for 75k for an icb. nah ah i can get those for 3 times less mate lol. Vendor Search is your friend
