I read that chewie owed han a life debt? Im missed that somewhere but how did that come to be any answers?

Han saved Chewie life, I believe it was when Chewie wasa slave and Han freefrom the slavers

Correct. From what I read, Han was a young imperial officer working on Kashyyk and didn't take kindly to the cruely to the Wookies.

Actually I am in the middle of the Han Solo trilogy right now and I belief that it actually occured on corsucant, Chewie was a slave that attacked an imperial officer, the officer drew his blaster and Han stopped the officer although they never said how. They basically tell you a little bit about it as it is supposed to have happened in between the first and second book. This is however the reason Han was dishonerably discharged.

Thanks for clarifying. the version I saw wasn't that detailed, I assumed it was on Kashykk because it was when he met Chewie. What the hell was Chewie doing on Coruscant?!
