Thread: Smuggler/BH jedi pvp advice?
Armor stats
Weapon stats
what foods were you using?
Did you use spice?
Did you stalk your target or rush directly in?
I can get more definite #s when I get home, but I'll give the best ballpark I can:
ubese armor with 7800 energy defense(except bracers which are I think 6700) all 75% ab sliced
Featherweight FWG5 with modified DPS somewhere around 560 and +51 accuracy
I have 1 akuan ring and a ranged/healing shirt.
I haven't hunted jedi yet myself, so I'm kind of intrested in this too. One thing I will ask... have you tried using a med / combat droid instead of bomb droids? I know I use a med / combat droid for PvE, and it helps a ton with healing. Also, check out Citros Snow Cake, boosts healing effeciency by a lot, but it only lasts for around 2 minutes. Vegesparine (or however it's spelled) adds about 100 to melee defense, and will decrease what you get hit for. Duelist Stance also increases defense.
I'm guessing a smuggler / BH hunting jedi would come down to a lot of luck, and timing. Don't forget Last Ditch either, if things are going badly and you are about to get killed, might as well give it a shot. By the way, spice STACKS with foods, so start using it too. My favorite is Booster Blue, but some people like to use Neutron Pixie instead.
Definately use low blow if you haven't been, a 40% combat slow is a huge difference in damage output.
Ok so I have the actual numbers for my gear...
Ubese armor- all Energy 7808/Kinetic 3816/Element 5812 except bracers Energy 6571/Kinetic 4571/Element 5571

I think you have to be a doc to get the stim dispenser to load, but I'm not sure. The medical module with 110 rating is the important thing, that's what boosts your healing skills. With mine, I group with it, tell it to follow, then after I start the fight I tell it to attack. As long as you are standing near it, you'll benefit from increased healing. Even if it's incapped... just make sure and stay near it.
Bad thing is, this probably means you'll have to try and tank the jedi, and if they run, the droid won't be able to keep up. If you get a droid with the medical module and combat modules, it should have well over 3000 life, probably around 3700 or so. You might have to get one custom made, just talk to a DE.

DE's arent the most popular profession but you should be able to find at least a few stocked/active somewhere on your server. If you cant check the DE boards, and you should find one. Basically a med/combat droid, has full med rating (110, any med droid in a Masters shop should have this) and also combat modules. I use mine on every mark npc or jedi, it may not be overpowering or anything, but it will get in there and hit for 50-100dmg on average, every 2-3 seconds throughout the course of the fight. An R3 unit will have a higher HAM (around 3700 as the previous poster said) and a lower combat rating, while a probot will have a lower HAM (around 3000) but a higher combat rating (i.e. the dmg it will do with the combat modules installed).
As for your Surgical Droid, it can only take general modules, so no combat abilities, and has a HAM of like 120hp or something. Basically just for looks, since every other droid can have a med module and do the same thing. The stimpack modules give you the option of requesting a stim from your droid. The stims have to be loaded by a doctor, but can be requested by you or anyone you're grouped with, and they can only be loaded with stim a's on a pretty long timer. (If that info is out of date pleae correct me, its been awhile (pre-CU) since I made a droid).

I am a MS/MBH, and have a MDE alt.
This is my advise, first I would get a R3 droid with a level 6 medical module, a Combat module and at a minimum level 4 armor modules. This will give you a CL30 combat droid so that it can take a few hits. Also get a few droid repair kits so you can repair the droid on the fly if it gets incapped so that it can keep up with you.As long as you are within 15m of thedroid, incapped or not you get teh heal buff, just notthe request stim option.
Have the DE place a stim dispensor in the droid and fill the rest with auto repair modules. This allow you to request a stim, although it is a stim A, a good crafter can make you a Stim A with a 190 something rating. The droid stim dispense time is long, but if you get a stim shot from the droid, it does not appear to effect the stim time for a personal stim, so you can turn arround and hit yourself with a stim D right after. Gets you a total heal of anywhere from 1300 to 1400 health depending on you stims. Drink Ruby Buel, this allows you to take another stim every 30 secs instead of 1 minute.
