Thread: Cooldown on Concussion (non-smuggler question)
ok, not much response on this...
I'm an SL trying to work out what temps I want in my group and how to use them effectively. So my question really is then, is the cooldown long like stopping shot (~30sec)? Or is it fairly close to a normal shot, like maybe 2 sec. (depending on speed)?
not as long as pistoleer Stoppingshot
i belive the whole recycle time is like 25 secs. Not exactly accurate but a good solid guess.

Did some testing on this last night.
On the same target you are looking at waiting 20 secnds after the concusion shot wears off before you can use it again. As said above you need to wait for anger to go away.
On a different target you have to wait 10 seconds.
So 10 seconds is the actual cool down timer for the shot.
The best way to use this shot is in combination with panic shot. Panic shot must be applied firsts to the target it mezes him but does not root. Panic shot lasts around 30 seconds when it breaks the mob is raged for 20 seconds so you cannot applie panic shot again but rage only stips panic shot not concusion shot. Hit the mob with concusion shot and you get another 40 seconds.
I think there is a bug because after concusion shot wears off the mob has an anger state which is supposed to not let you mez it again, either with panic shot or concusion shot. But, and this is the important part you can use panic shot again. I dont think this is working as intended but you can chain mez a mob using these two shots.![]()
If your good at managing targets and time things right you can keep upwards of 5 mobs perminatly mezed while in a fight, makes you very usefull in a group.![]()

Thanks for the great replies everyone, that's exactly what I was looking for and more. It seems like a smuggler could be very deadly in a group if used well. I have a friend who's just recentlytaken up smuggler, I may have him on permanent panic/concussion shot duty while the rest of the group does concentrated single fire. Just to make sure I understand though, as far as shooting different targets in concerned, the cooldown for concussion and panic is 10sec? Meaning that if have a group of jedi charging me, my smuggler could get off a mez on one of them maybe every 5 seconds?
