Thread: Ship Component Slicing

Don't know if this idea was already brought up, but it seems to me like a good idea.
All components can receive an enc slice which would reduce their mass.
Damage/speed for weapons is pretty self explanatory.
Eff for armor is also self explanatory
Speed slice on engine is again...total common sense.
Maybe reactors could have an eff slice as well to increase their...reactivitiyiness.
Capacitors would have eff for regen and capacity(negotiable name, maybe endurance?) for max charge.
Flight computers/Droid Interfacecould be speed sliced.
Countermeasures could be speed sliced, maybe eff sliced for more pods/longer duration.
I did not suggest a 'Reactor Drain' slice because this might make it harder on the programmers, and it would be too many variables to make this a worthwhile thing. Haven't had any problems myself with too little reactor juice.
Like I said, dunno if this was covered already, just wanted to make sure that it was thrown out there.
If it was covered already...why didn't everyone throw their support behind it so we can get in on this space expansion money making?

Something similiar has been suggested, but that doesn't make the recap of the idea any worse
I'm sure most players would love it, even more I'm sure smugglers would like to finally get something new.

Mass Slice
Additional Energy Slice (Added to the Reactor slice)
Mounting Extra Weapons/Turret
Increase Yaw/Roll rate
COMPONENTS
Reactor:
More Energy,
ImprovedComponent Hitpoints,
Shield:
Tougher Shield,
Less Reactor Drainage,
More ComponentHitpoints,
Armor:
Tougher Armor,
More Component Hitpoints,
Capacitator:
More Capacitator Energy,
Less Reactor Drainage,
More Component Hitpoints,
And it pretty much goes on like that. cept these:
Weapons:
More Weapon Damage (3 choices, Shield, Armor, and Hull damage)
Less Capacitator Drainage,
More Component Hitpoints,
Droid Interface:
Faster Droid Command Speed,
More Component Hitpoints,
And thats it; any additions would be appreciated.
