Thread: is smugler a fun/good profesion?

Well, we still have a great community....yes, you can have fun, and make a lot of money.
Smuggler, at present, is a profession for:
1. People who want to make use of the Smuggler Crowd Control specials, especially feign death, panic shot, concussion shot, and overwhelming shot.
2. Massochists who want to smuggle.
3. People who want to make use of last ditch to give them a slim chance of surviving a pvp situation that turned in the favor of their opponant.
4. Massochists who want to smuggle.
5. People looking to make profit over the enhancements smugglers offer in the form of spices and in slicing.
6. Also, people who were willing to wait through up to and beyondTWO YEARS as part of a profession that was previously painfully combat-gimped, underpowered, ignored, broken by Jedi and Bounty Hunters, then ignored again... They wait through this patiently because of the cool-factor in being a smuggler, and because they occasionally get tossed hints and hopes by a developer community that tends to repeatedly renege on its promises.
7. People who don't realize that it is more profitable to just grind and sell faction than to buy and sell faction at a recruiter.
I'm starting to become at a loss on how to answer this recurring question.
Oh, did I mention that I cancelled my account JUST because I've been a non-smuggling Smuggler for over two years?
Although I don't do much slicing (I'm not very pro-active with it) but I do really enjoy the crowd control abilities. I has saved me my friends on several occasions when we just have a small group of 3-4.
Soon though I plan on making my slicing skills known more and hopefully I can enjoy that aspect of it as well. I enjoy it so far. Its made me a few K in credits so far.

I STOLE it from some other smuggler around here. I didn't even give him credit either, hehehe.

no one here knows what this 'smuggling' is. To know what it is you have to have seen it/done it before.

It's a load of fun.
But some of my compatriots are grouchy about the neglect we're getting...and I gotta feel for 'em.

I'm to the point with RPing a smuggler that I just find it hard to preted any longer. I've been 'pretending' to smuggle for 2 years.
