without the +20 speed of master pistoleer what do you think is better fan shot or last ditch?

Both, even without that speed both still have a place on your hotkey bar. There are spots where a fanshot would land you in deep crap.

If you're not going to stick around for the entire fight, I'd have to advise against fanshotting everything around you and pissing them off. With last ditch you can pop off a real powerful blast at a sinlge opponent, and maybe taking them out before youwind upon your back.

I think it really depends on the situation. Fan Shot has a higer dps, even if your a master pistoleer. Last Ditch doesnt become the best dps shot until you get master pistoleer in addition to having good skill tapes. With that being said, there are times when you wont want to use fan shot. As others have pointed out, the cone affect can get you into trouble sometimes if your not careful. Also, last ditch as other purposes than damage as well. If you can get the stun affect to stick, and then hit your opponent with an intimidate - then the damage that target will be doing to you will be next to nill.

Fan Ditch when faction farming. The ablitity to take out 10-20 NPCs at one time is great. Otherwise LD is your answer for one on one encounters or PvP. The stun effect is great. If you don';t have speed tapes use speed slices or speed PUs to increase yourself to speed cap.

hmm... what's the speed modifier on last ditch? I can't remember.

Fan shot was only good for one thing. When npc's were stuck in walls (tuskens), (BH marks) if someone dueled you and stood next to it executing fanshot will dislodge the NPC. Other than that is sucked IMO. Last Ditch was nice did nice damage similiar with StoppingSHot but cant spam it as fast.

I'll also say LD... Fan Shot can be tricky if there's too many critters/NPC around. I use fan shot forEAST target that might be in the cone of fire.

Last Ditch = 6.0 Damage modifier, 4.0 Delay
Fan Shot = 4.0 Damage modifier, 2.5 Delay
*Thesestats do not inlcude the 1.5 modifier that your base damage recieves
