Thread: Locked containers that are broken and cant be sliced to open scamming!

Something I wasnt aware of is people who list locked containers on the baz or on there vendor and it still says LOCKED CONTAINER so your thinking cool I can buy this and slice it. Yet you goto slice it and find out its broken and someone has failed to use a clamp, broke it and put it up for listing again to sell.
Now 1 of 2 things needs to be done I feel
Either if the container CANNNOT be opened and is broke it should break and disapear
OR
The status on the container should change from unlocked to Broken.
I really and upset with this unless someone else has another way they can tell me that i am doing something wrong..
I also dont want to resell a locked container to someone where I just bought it cheap and am reselling it and am being told its broken and called a scammer.. Anyone have any info on this topic?

I agree....seeing that a broken container is useless...the container should just simply either dissappear (destroyed the mechanism), or show up as "Broken" just like vehicles show up as "Disabled"

Examine the cont before you buy it. Its your own fault for not doing that.

If you examin the container, it says it isnt sliceable anymore. If you don't check the product you buy, you can only blame yourself. SOE has already fixed this issue.

I agree with the other posters... It is your own fault for not knowing what you buy.
Just buying something for its name and its image isn't the smartest thing to do... Maybe I should sell creature habitats named "Locked Containers" since people don't look at what they buy.

Hey Cry4Dawn, been a while!
Like they have mentioned, all you have to do is examine the locked container before you buy it. It let's you know if you can still slice it.

and why exactly are you claiming he is wrong? What can hurt to add a feature that changes a container's name to "broken". How thisthat so wrong? It's just as wrong as a vehicle saying DISABLED when it's destroyed.

When looking at a disabled vehicle you can tell because it is sparking and half blown up.
A locked container, with a unlockable lock, is still a locked container. There could possibly be someone with a key to that locked container...

These are the kinds of things that would be nice if SOE told us.. I read every patch that comes out and I have never seen this before at all. How can you examine an item in the baz or does it say its broken or something when you look at it? It says its already been sliced if its broken?

When its on the bazaar or vendor check out the 'details' on the item. It tells you if it's sliceable or not. Can't remember which patch they added it in but they did tell us they were adding it.

Yeah, just click on details or double click the item and it will say if it is sliceable or not. If not, don't buy it. It is too bad that people put this stuff up in hopes that someone will make th emistake of buying it as an unlockable container. Wouldn't hurt for devs to rename them BROKEN.
