Ahh.. Me likes... Not just because we get to make/acquire/sell it(whatever) but mainly because it finally gives people defense against POISON!

A little bird told me that the CM correspondant heard something about a new smuggler spice to increase poison/disease resistances..
Has anyone heard anything solid on that or is it just a pipe-dream?

It was a real proposal by the Devs... you can find out about it, if you go up to the sticky threads and go into 'Important Links', then go to the correspondent only post thread...
Information is lurking in there, look for the mention of 'Liik'

I know it's been suggested before too, but to make us marketable and interdependant, they really should consider letting us produce optional components for food and meds too.
Personally I'd try to arrange the math so that they don't make meds/foods/drinks much _better_ at the high end (because I think they're all a bit too strong now) but allow them to be used by crafters who lack high-end resources.
It would reflect the harried, underprepared crafter going to the black market for some of his components to compete with the rich, legitimate businesses.

I think we should be able to enhance foods to be better, only it gives them a downtime.

true. downtime will behard though if it lowers defenses against poison/disease and the damn thing still ticks...
