Thread: Is it worth it? [Master Smuggler]
Fair enough ![]()
Thanks
I came to slicing for base offense but I kinda like the fact that my gaming is not all PvP anymore (especially since I suck so bad hahaha). I guess I'll give it a serious go and see if I like it. Now I need to do some thinking about what to drop to free the required skillpoints...
Still interested in why you like to do your smuggler job though ![]()
Ok. let me see if I can put why i enjoy it into better words. The flow here will be kind of random ... I'll just type as I think instead of trying to organize an intelligent pattern!
People seek you out...that makes you feel somewhat important. You make decent money AND you help people out - thats kinda cool. Though the actual act of slicing an item gets kinda boring, the place you slice and the weapons you slice are always changing. It's really neat to slice for newbs who seem to appreciate even the worst slices. Its nice to report back after a good slice and see replies such as "You rock!" or "Oh man, thats nice!". One girl asked me to marry her after a particularly nice set of slices on her armor. So theres always gratifacation to be found. You do get to see all of the new armor and weapons right away, so you get a good idea of how powerful things are. I've made lots of new friends slicing.
Of course, theres the other side of the coin too. Reporting bad slices often gets replies such as "Crap!" or "Shiit... I needed better than that.", etc.The bad customers you read about in this forum haven't showed up on my doorstep yet in over 4 months of master slicing. I've never yet been accused of stealing or cursed. Of course, now that I said that it will probably happen tonight. With newbs, you do have to take time to explain the art of slicing... well, you don't have to, but it really helps all smugglers if you do.
