Notice: This does not violate the NDA to my knowledge (all info within is already public as far as I know), it is merely the exchange between two players.

So I log in to BETA tonight. Just wanted to play a little bit and then go out tonight. So I sign in, and it's loading. Loading screen goes away. First off: I'm not in the same spot I was-- I was rolled back AGAIN, for the 5th or 6th time to THIS EXACT LOCATION. 10's of thousands of XP lost. /sigh.Anyhow, second thing: I had recieved 2 tells from the same guy while inthe loading screen. Something to the effect of: Hello. Second one: Please, answer me.

(From this pointon I'mparaphrasing, though I wish I could have saved the exchange... =) At least this duder had the courtesy to mostly use proper english and all that stuff.

Me: Yo.

Duder: You imp?

M: Nope, neutral.

D: Wanna go imp?

M: No, my entire interest inBeta is in Privateer.

D: Please I need your help.

I sigh inside. Some time passes.

D: please

D: please go imp you can have a whole set of stormtrooper armor

M: I can't really do it right now, besides going imp doesn't really interest me...

D: please I'm begging

M: I'm about to launch, I can't do it

D: I'm begging

M: What is this about anyway

(By nowwe're in the Theed Starport)

D: please

M: What do you need me for, smugglers can't do anything in JTL that no one else can do

D: please I'm begging, I have a macro

D: (says something about faction)

M: (I do a search for another smuggler)Did you try the other smuggler?

D: ya he put me on ignore for wasting his time

So now I'm really starting to get an insight here....

M: What do you need faction for anyway, this is JTL Beta you should be flying around.

D: not really

Butdoing this word for word is getting tedious.

Basically this goes on for a little bit, I'm telling him it's nothing personal, thatI just logged on to play for a little bit and then I was going to go out. But he kept persisting with the I'm begging, please, routine. I asked how old he was, and I insinuated that he must have been about 15, but he ultimatelynever answered.I tell him againit's nothing personal, but I really don't have time for this, and then he's like THANKS ALOT and runs off. So I'm like, 'bro, you can't just expect me to stop everything I'm doing JUST because you demand me to.' He doesn't say anything for a few minutes. Then all the sudden he's like 'Stop talking to me or I'll put you on ignore, or I'll duel you then you'll shut up' and so I figured he's long gone so I said 'go for it'. Turns out he was standing there again. I keep getting duel requests, and I'm telling him he's a TKW and I'm a smuggler, he's in a full set of Composite and I have something like 250BF and 600 wounds in my Health and Action, and that he will CLEARLY win. and I won't do it.

And all the sudden he changes his tone and he's like 'it's cool man, just duel, just duel'. And I go on and on how dueling proves nothing, especially since he's got specials to the teeth and I'm not only unarmored, totally wounded and a pistoleer smuggler... I say all it does it proves he knows how to use the Blue Frogs. I suggest he duel the Master Swordsman standing RIGHT THERE, that that would be more fun for him, that there's NO point in dueling me. Obivously he has some agenda.I'm like 'heal my wounds, take off your armor then you have a duel' knowing he can't do anything about it. I don't duel unless I think I have a tinyhope of winning. He takes off his armor but he keeps on it 'just duel, just duel for fun man, come on.' Meanwhile the 'requests a duel' system message keeps popping up.

By now I'm thinking, I don't want to give him the satisfaction, he'll probably say 'no DB ok?' but then db me anyway leaving me wounded even more then prance around saying he owns me. I didn't want to take this kid's trap andgivehim the impressionthathe was better than me.It was itching me really badly tho, this guy was REALLY starting to annoy me, but I didn't want to go down to his level.'Just duel. Just duel.' I put my pistol in my hand but keep talking thinking he won't notice... he doesn't seem to. So we keep talking for another minute or two. I have my fingers ready to Shift-F1 me into a Burst Run. Now remember, I have only 200 or 300 total for my Health and Action pools here... I'm still talking but thenI Accept the Duel and burn out into a Burst Run, blasting with my bone-stock Republic. Last Ditch, Last Ditch, Low Blow and on and on, healing when necessary. I really don't think the guy even got a hit on me because I ran like a sissy-girl, but I did end up incapping him outside in front of the Starport.

It's probably considered dirty, but I'm a SMUGGLER by god and this kid deserved it.I try to heal him but h'es overt... then he says 'Wait a minute, we'll duel again, my keyboard was all messed up I couldn't do anything. Wait till I get normal again. A melee duel.' I sigh and shake my head. Then I said 'LOL what are the odds of that =)??' Then he says 'how old are you' and I'm like 'I asked you first'. He didn't answer.

Then I headed for the Starship Terminal and went skyward.

Yay, a happy story...like the title suggests. I'm bored, so it was pretty fun reading this.

I didn't, I mean... I'm generally a fair guy... doing stuff like dueling in the first place, and then death blowing, don't do it for me. I don't feel it means anything. =)
