You have to have less than 500 points to buy faction (between 200-499)...

And the best ratio is Colonel... 1.18:1

OK - In the past I've been able to "buy" faction points from a recruiter by donating credits. After a while I got the message "You've done enough for us already." Usually I've had to go up some ranks before I can buy again, but once I hit Sergeant I could never buy more faction.

So I figured once I made Colonel I could buy faction again. Well, I finally made Colonel tonight and went to buy some faction when I got the message "You've done enough for us already." and it won't let me buy any faction!

Anyone know why this is happening or what I'm doing wrong? Any help is appreciated....thanks!

Nevermind - I just read the FAQ. I didn't realize that if I had more than 500 faction stored that I couldn't buy anymore. Oh well....

your FP "balance" can't be over 500 ... delegate some away and you will be able to again

if you want to buy it for yourself you have to find a friendly master smuggler to work the deal for you. you give him the creds ans he will buy and transfer it to you.

Aye

A second colonel master smuggler is needed to be the most efficient.

You could either buy the faction and delegate to the second smuggler and have him buy the hq or vice versa.

Colonel is best for the transfer rate...

Just remember, in either scenario, only the person buying the faction itemneeds to be a Master Smuggler to get the extra faction bonus to the sale.

The person transferring the faction to the other smuggler only has to have Underworld IV and be a Colonel.

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04
