Thread: Damage slicing?

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere in the slicing guides, so....

I'me trying to design a weapon to that I can cap the damage through slicing. When you 3rd-stage damage slice a weapon does it, in fact, take the minimum damage, calculate 8% from that and add that to both the min and max damage?

ex. (completely hypothetical):

Would a 495-1096 damage weapon slice to:

1. 534-1135
or
2. 534-1183

??

Sorry, I'm slightly confused. The Slicing Assistants say #2, but I'm hearing from weaponsmiths it's #1.

Please help!

Thanks,

Mechis

I never honestly pay much attention to min damage prior to slicing but i know it increases max damage. If weaponsmiths are saying otherwise, slap them.

And let the specials eat your action at supreme speed. Slice for speed to outbalance the lost speed from a damage pup.

No that's how pups work. Slice would raise 8% of both min and max thus a 100-1000 weapon becomes 108-1080.

try to cap damage and sac, slice for speed..

dam slicing DOES raise both min and max....and unfortunately the slicing cap is lower than the crafting cap for damage.

Yep, and I'd say if you have to choose between capping SAC or damage, cap SAC. It's the one thing we can't slice.

Even with capped SAC and damage on my speed-sliced HLR and HC Scatter, I still use SAC powerups. My action really doesn't run out that often anymore...
