Thread: buying faction at underworld IV

OK, I have underworld IV, and I have bought faction but now I cant. I have not been able to for a few days now. Is it somthing I am not doing or need to do to buy more.
Any help please?

If you got more than 500 FP for your faction you cant buy more, sorry matey.

Stickies are your friend.
But so that I don't sound like a prịck, there's a limit on faction purchases. If you have 500 total faction, you are not allowed to buy faction.

just out of curiousity, what does everyone charge for faction per point?

depends of
- the guy asking
- how much he asks
- how he asks
- how often he asks
If someone tells me "I want FP right no, i want 5000? How?", be sure i will make him pay 150 credits/Fp
If someone is nice, speaks with real words, not truncated, and deals with my current activity, i can lower price to 120 credits/Fp
On my vendor, i charge items around 140 credits/Pf to buy it with a Msmuggler friend and we divide the benefits

charging 100cr perreb FP... with the CoA bonus, this gives me a good enough bonus to get profit...
then again: i don't get jobs often, since we seem to have a solid stormtrooper spawn-spot on corellia... one 3h buff usually brings me about 15-25k of FP, and 50k of credit loots. i leave the item-looting to melee peeps tho, im strafe2-ing from a distance

I was just wondering if the FP you can buy caps at 500 can you buy a commission?
For example it takes 2500 to get to master sergeant so can I only 500 to go towards it.?

You can only buy points if you have less than 500 points. So, yes...you can only buy 500 points toward your next rank.
*continues to wonder what is so complicated about this 500 point cap*

people don't understand when you sell that you can't do it all at once, I've got this problem many times with customers. "Hey... you only gave me 250 fp... what's up with that, I paid you for the 5000!" - Calm down, I can't do it all at once... "SCAMMER!"
*sigh*
It doesn't make sense to me really, I suppose it's so we can't be accused of cheating the system for ourselves. (at very first I got smuggler so I could buy the FP needed for my atst, then realized the 500 cap, I've came to enjoy smuggler for other reasons since then)

That was the original reason the cap was introduced, about 1.5-2 months into the game. Because people were buying walkers. Plain and simple.
Of course, we could have like, 3-5 faction pets out at the time, if I remember correctly.

well there is still an exploit to make more than one faction pet possible, same way you can call nearly countless CH pets. friend does it as a solo group...
But anyway, with an alt I guess it's still possible, just del it back to yourself, although there will be the lost fp due to the rank ratio
