Can any of you guys help me out? I was waiting for a shuttle (4 minutes 54 seconds) the other day, so I thought I'd try out my novice smuggler skills because I had the raw materials on me.
I crafted 3 units of spice in the 5 minutes, going as fast as I could go. I almost missed the shuttle and had to wait another 5 minutes waiting on the third one.
Could someone point me towards a macro that would speed things up?

Sure chief, I believe there's one in the Important stickies for smugglersif notI know there's pleanty in the crafters forums. Just try a search for "crafting macro"
I'll give you a little bit of free advice. Some smugglers are getting a little, shall we say upset, about the whole non use of the stickies above.

The best macro i had was the inherent memory in my hands. I had the tool on my macro bar, fired that up and my hands just clicked agnd hit enter at the right times. I got all the way to master with this just doing it waiting for shuttles (pre JTL). Turning off confirm craftin action in the options doesnt hurt too

In the before time, ie, when I didn't know all the nuances of macros, I hand ground crafting, and did it with as good or better efficiency than a macro. Had 4 tools in my inventory, and was just really fast with the mouse.
