There is a patch on Test Center now that makes politician skill take0 skill points. When that goes live, I will become mayor of a city and pick up my first new skill in well over a year

I really want to start a seedy-as-hell RP city, but I doubt that I could keep it alive.

I don't think it is actually so bad! Especially when the no-skill-point thing hits live.
Actually, between politicians I know, it is probably divided down the middle between people who actually want to be politicians, and people who were kind of forced into it.
But enough about that.
I was thinking earlier this week that I wanted to be a smuggler/politician, but that paying the skillpoints for politician is something I didn't want to do.

Free skllls? Who wouldn't want to make them part of their template?
Too bad the only way to get political experience or to function as a Politician is to be mayor... if only there were Political underlings in this game.

Anyone else see bad things coming out of this? Not Geevo being a politician, but EVERYBODY being a politician?
Dunno, I know it's pessimistic, but on Starsider, the core worlds are all capped for cities, and a few of the lesser ones are too. This is just going to increase the number of capped worlds IMO.
I should mention that quite a few of the cities that contribute to those caps aren't worth crap scraped off a shoe. they're just taking up space. Worthless cities with no layout planning whatsoever, no real residents, just an empty husk of a town.
When my guild had to move out of North Beach, our only choice to start our own city was Dantooine. I don't even like Dantooine. The city is sexy now, but still.
