do you add the extra cost of the delegation point penalty (isn't it 1.18?) into the per point price or do you tack it on to the overall calculation?

for example if I'm selling faction at 100 cpu in large quantities (say 11 sets of armor schematics at 8500 fp each) do I give him the total price as 9.35 million OR do I factor in the point delegation penalty and sell it to him at 11 million?

Just curious what is the way most people figure it.

The bulk of a FP sale is actually the dang FP itself. If you're selling at 100cpu, your own personal FPcosts are effectively covered and you're making a fairly small commission.I find 120cpu to be optimal and fair, but would prefer todo as highas 150.Ionly do 90-100 for people I like/trust.

Edit: wanted to add the math to clarify a bit.

100k credits buys you 1250 faction. That equates to 80cpu base.
80 * 1.18 (colonel rank) = 94.4cpu adjusted, so we'llround up to 95cpu.

Therefore, any cpu above 95 is essentially what you're making per FP.

It's all salesmanship. Give the customer what they want. If they want a detailed breakdown of cost, give it to 'em. But in general people want to know the package price. When ever people ask me for fp I ask them how much and then give them a ballpack at around 130 cpu and haggle from there.

One simple end price is just easier for customers to grab onto and understand.

No kidding. If you I say to a customer 150/FP, I get asked how much for 5.000 FP. I answer then 150 x 5000 is 750.000 Credits. After that I get asked how much for 10kFP, then I just want to stab them into the eyes through the net. *twitch*

I charge for the extra. I charge 150cr/fp and do the math ahead of time. If they want 1000fp I price out 1180 at 150cr/fp (177k). Good cash. Some may call it gouging, I prefer the term Profiteering. Also, if you're fast and dependable you will get repeat business.

If they'll pay it, it's reasonable. Feel free to haggle, justnever break even, even if you only make 1cr.

well it costs me about 100credits per fp if you include the fp I loose transfering the fp to the customer, so I normally charge about 130-150 credits for fp, less if im stealing the deal from someone elseI
