I just started playing again after a 1 year layoff from the game. I have gotten back up to speed on most things, and have purchased a lot of armor and weapons, in the old days you could just give a smuggler a WUK or AUK and they would slice teh requested type of item. Well, I see now it's a bit more involved that it was before, and I don't want to barrage the smuggler to do the slicing with a bunch of questions through tells, so I will ask them here and hopefully get the answers I am looking for.

1. From what I have read on armor you can get Armor Break Slicing, Resist Slicing, and Encumberance (hinderance) sllices is this correct?

2. On weapons you can get, Speed, Damage, and SAC slices, is this correct?

3. Now how many different types of slices can I get on the same item? For example can I get an Armor Break Slice, and a resist slice on armor or am I limited to only 1. Same question for weapons.

4. What do I need to supply my local smuggler with in order to do the highest level of armor break slices?

5. Why are pre-CU AUK and WUKS worth so much? I have seen these sell for 500k per crate, I put one in my vendor for 70k and it sold in 2 minutes, the funny part is I thought I was over charging for it at 70k figuring it was worthless.

But no, we can't slice for SAC. Wish we could. Damage, speed, and critical hit chance is all we can slice on weapons.


As for the AUKs and WUKs being so expensive... I really have no clue why they'd cost so much. Well, they can be "refit" into a random slicing loot piece, so maybe that's why.

Pre-CU AUKs and WUKs can be converted (salvaged) into the new components. While this isn't a huge big deal for WUKs (most of these components are *relatively* common for BH's) for AUKs you get 2-4 shock absorbent paddings from each crate...and due to an incredibly poor drop rate and the insane popularity of the Armor Break slice (it works against the Jedi armor break-helps keep the BHs alive) these things are skyrocketing in price. I just sold a set of 7 for 5 million...and that was without the slice, the guy hadn't finished building his armor yet! Until they fix the loot tables and loot drops on these, the AUK crates are well worth 500k.
