Smuggler Archive

Since SOE can't seem to figure out a way to get an actual smuggling system in, I am going to help.

1. Set up an inventory scan for any illegal items whenever someone uses the travel option or tries to buy a ticket... If they have illegal items, in a nice little text box, tell said player, "You are carrying illegal paraphanelia according to Imperial law, you are not allowed to use this service." Yes, jedi themselves are illegal so ban them as well. This causes a three-fold situation; ships and JTL are now important to have if you wish to break the law thus you must BUY at least the JTL expansion (I knew you would like that one SOE,) it gets people in space... you know, STAR WARS... the whole point , and finally it makes things a little more interesting for smuggler missions. -------- This is the hardest part because it possibly requires some new code and will affect the entire systembut it will make the game richer all around.

2. Terminal smuggler missions that a smuggler can access from any bountyhunter terminal via slicing. These missions are the typical fast missions that terminal missions normally are but give a good cash bonus and possibly a minor overall Underworld faction bonus upon success and negative overall Underworld faction upon failure or deletion.

3. Missions from named characters such as Jabba, Nym, etc... Upon completion of their theme parks or quests, they scan you to see if your a smuggler and offer smuggling missions if they find you worthy. Success on these missions give more smuggler centric loot but a little less cash. They also give personal faction and a small over all Underworld faction bonus upon success, negative of course if failed or deleted. (Oh yeah, you could also give Bountyhunters missions in this way too) Be sure to make these planet hopping missions------------ This will be the most time consuming phase of the smuggler "revamp" due towriters actually writing good storyline missions.

Right now, I don't care about anything else... no little bonuses, no scraping off the top, no loss of the spice lines. Just get this in. After that you can tweak it until your happy. Right now, this right here and only this will make at least myselfpleased enough to stick around until you have tweaked things to perfection.
