Thread: Another good reason to buy ToOW

you want a reason i'll give it to you tons of new content. nice loot items like bonus medic gloves, a crystal similair to the health crystal in the Live now that gives you defense bonus, the SWG version of the horadic cube and tons more. ppl who claim they did everything in a weekend are pulling your leg i am on the beta from 11:30 AM- 7:30 pm everyday and have been in the beta since launch and still haven't done it all. there are tons of new quest great loot, loots of new meat, hide, and bones for you scouters out there, great scenery, new minerals the this planet only offers, quest to enhance CH's like using lvl 80 pets , great fun solo and in groups. new items to decorate your house. plenty of great things to hunt and do. did i mention NPC jedi in the game, the new AI is great when fighting these NPC. there are many many great things in this expansion just some ppl think if it doesn't evolve around my profession i don't want it. on the beta server i am a MBH/MCM and a MSmug/MSL i have had great fun with both and looking forward on live being there again for the first time. ppl content is for all not just for one profession but yes crafters beware this place is not for the faint at heart. tons of high lvl mobs all over the place. as stated this is my opion and to be honest i will be dishing out 180 dollars for all mine and my GF toons to be there.
NPC jedi? I am not exactly sure if this is a new feature. Actually, I am pretty sure that I have had a really nice encounter with a cl90+ dark jedi master once.
Anyway... this exactly the last thing I would want to pay money for. There are already more player controlled jedi in this game than in Episode I-III (whereas we should be between Episode IV and V). And now we get to see even more of them? Has anyone else here visions of getting ganged by random spawns of 5-6 cl80 jedi?

LOL, and lo and behold the crafters get the shaft again...
What tool dreamed up another planet where a master crafter of max CL56 stands absolutely no chance to get resources that they'll presumably need to stay competitive in an already harsh market?
Yet another reason NOT to buy the thing...
Maybe its just me, but I feel an urge to /whack somebody with my keyboard every time I read the word "crystal". Crystal, Obi Wan, lava lightsaber, NPC jedi...
And yes, I am aware that the cristal in question is probably useable by everybody - doesn´t make me feel better, though. Oh well, at least SoE is admitting this time that the game will come complete with a bug. I only wonder why they call it a reward...
So if you would be so kind to excuse me, my keyboard calls...

Because reward sounds nice. And we deserve one, we've been their payingbi+ches for quite a while with no improvements to be seen as long as added Jedi content is nothing positive for us.

All I keep thinking is "No wonder the Empire loses, look at how incompetent Darth Vader is in SWG."
This is suppose to be the era of the "common person/alien/thingie/whateverthe#$*()#thatthinginthecorneris" where the Jedi were slaughtered, a civil war between average people was being waged, the Empire's Uberweapon (Vader) made the situation hopeless, the Alliance's uberweapon (Tactical Genius and Han & Lando giving the Alliance a bit of smuggler's luck in the end) overcame the hopelessness, and all was well. (I know some of you thought I was going to say Skywalker - Let's be honest, how does he help in th downfall of the Empire after he blasts the death star, after everyone dies protecting his sorry butt and a smuggler had to show up because even that wasn't enough)
But to be fair to the Jedi, there was a rather large theme running through the first three movies (episodes 4-6 for the kids):
(1) A New Hope - "What the #$*() was a Jedi?"
(2) Empire Strikes Back - "Oh, that's a Jedi.. hmm.. Jim Henson would make a better Jedi than Luke Skywalker"
(3) Return of the Jedi - "Okay.. Its all Jedi (while two itty bitty smugglers save the universe) *ahem*, but we started with 4 jedi (Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin and eventually Luke) and at the end we're down to One (Luke). Go Jedi self-preservation.

Ah yes, it's useable by everyone, but you need to be a full template Jedi to survive the missions to get it...

Thanks for helping me find out that my nasal passages do not like Coke.

Because they sold Booster Blue to a melee stacker who managed to draw off the aggro they had to Feign Death to survive because their Concussion Shot broke and Last Ditch failed after they had to go Combatant to pay 100K credits for 1250 faction points to sell to a Master Armorsmith?
yes and no.
