Is it just me ordoes the amount of Smugglers in the universe seem to be growing at an exponential rate?

I only play on Ahazi, where I can run into minimum of 5 Smugglers just walking from the Starport to the Med Center.

I've only been playing the game since last August, and didn't pick up Novice until late September. I finally achieved Master Smuggler right before Thanksgiving. (I don't get much time to play). I remember the good ole days when I could log on and find a good spot in front of the Starport and sit there all day waiting for slice requests. Once in a while there would all ready be a Master Smuggler in front of the Starport, and I would either pick a different spot or go find a group to kill Rancors. (This was before the ever popular "Solo-groups".) Groups of people would actually go and try to kill the same MOBs. It was great.I guess I'm just trying to rant about how it was before. When you used to be able to get buffs for 5-6k. When someone would ask you, "How much to slice a set of Composite Armor?" I would reply, "27k." They would then thank me and we would do buisness. Now, people ask me how much to slice, and I still only charge 3k per slice ( I get AUKs and WUKs free from PA friends), they get all butt-hurt when I don't give them I discount for slicing 5 items at a time.....and go find someone else to slice their stuff. Then they come back in 5 minutes, because they're either aren't any other Master Smugglers online ATM or they are charging more than I am. Anyone else feeling the same?

Make the game more stable and playable, then go through and swing the nerf bat. - hopnasty

I used to charge3k flat cost per slice. But then I thought like you said, I have to make the knives and clamps. I have to dig up a Armorsmith or Weaponsmith to make WUK and AUK. I have to haul the crap around, AND I have to drop what I am doing to come and slice something.

THEN some peeps try to get pissed because they didn't get the slice they want. I tell them its random, no Master is going to do better than another.

And since this bad news about the delay, I have been charging more to make it worth my while to keep it.

I love the people that want a discount because you are doing a bulk order. A guy last night ranted at me for 15 minutes because I would not lower my prices for slicing his full composite set, my price is 50k per suite for armor.

To be perfectly honest I HATE slicing armor. Especially composite, which is why I charge more. But as to your original question I think it's per server. On Tempest I know of only 3 -4 Masters who work in Coronet, we get along fairly well and don't try to steal each others bus.

Exactly. I hate bulk orders. They are more work, hence I charge more.

Starsider had quite a drop in smugglers around 3 months ago. Since then, things have still been pretty quiet. I might see 3-4 with their tags on every other day and that's it. I travel a lot too, so my run-ins aren't restricted to one set city. Even in coronet, I rarely see a master smuggler slicing. If I log on between 1pm-9pm EST and happen to be in cnet, I usually get 3-4 tells before I've even loaded.

I usually charge 100 credits per percent, rarely giving discounts. While I have Nov. WS/AS in order to make my own WUKs/AUKs, it's still becoming a hassle. I generaly slice for private stockpiles and such.

Yeah, slicing composite isn't fun considering the color change option pops up everytime and has yet to be resolved.

Exactly my beef. Anyways I figure it's more money for me. And if they contact me when I don't have my tag up I double my prices.
