What is splicing? *Hides very quickly*

Im sorry i am a noob and i am about to get enough points for a smuggler but i havent a clue about our general abilities!

Please fill me in. sorry for being ignorant of an obvious matter!

Also..

any good rp smuggler guilds on eclipse?

let's start with the small stuff, it's slicing, not splicing (although theP is close to theL on a keyboard, I'll give you that).

Slicing, you use it to improve weapons or armor by a decent margin.

Having some unique abilities concering faction and PvP (which CAN be VERY nice),

Spice (which I really only make for myself and guildies since we go through it so slow and no one really buys it much anymore),

And some nice pistol shots, which are really only useful if you take a bit of pistoleer.
