Most people will tell you the best way to gain pistol xp quickly is to work up the Techniques line under Pistoleer. Once you've got FanShot, do the standard buffs-n-brandy, kenetic resist armor and head to Dantoine or Dathomir. FanShot groups of Quenkars and what not into oblivion. Rinse and Repeat.

But what the hell am I talking about. I finished up the Dirty Fighting tree first and am now going back to get FanShot. I'd recommend not using this approach though as it took me forever to get up to Dirty Fighting 4. Though Last Ditch is pretty sweet.

I went Master smuggler first, and am almost up to master pistoleer. I found that after I got last ditch, gaining all the pistol exp I have now was a breeze..

I agree with the Pistol Techniques first, then start on Smuggler and get Low Blow and Last Ditch. By then your pistol will be doing good enough damage to hit everything hard.....well.....hard for a pistol at least.

My advice depends on your need to earn money.

If you are going to do both, and money is not a primary concern at this time...then do Pistoleer then Smuggler because ultimately this is the fastest way to do both.

If money is an issue, Smuggler then Pistoleer (maybe techniques first).
