I would never post another thing on the smuggler pages. Let them eat static... By and large our community is rock and roll...and MOST of the posts are curteous and pleasant...and usually witty... But reading Tiggs thread makes me embarrassed sometimes by some of the really rude and uncalled for flames... Fine...be frustrated, but be frustrated like a grown up. Saying harsh words never wins friends or positive attention.
I was one defending the smugglers last week when some randoms came in and called us whiners and spoiled children...and I still stand by that defense. But I must admit after reading the page after page after page of things written in response to Tiggs I can see where the reputation comes from. WOW!
I'm all for love and attention for smugglers...see my posts. But let's not sully our reputation as the closest and wittiest (albeit cynical) community on the boards. Like it or not...we speak for each other. Professions get grouped regardless of whether or not we speak as one. I don't say stop asking the questions of the developers...we're the customers and it is our job to keep them on their toes... but seriously some of the comments are downright childish... you know who you are.
To those of you who stand firmly for Smuggler love and do it constuctively and intelligently...I applaud you. And thank you for representing us in a positive light.

I wholeheartedly agree...
I consider myself one of the most cynical and outspoken members of this forum, and even I am ashamed of what Tiggs thread turned into. I think she could have saved alot of grief if she would have simply chosen the wording of her title a little differently. And I tried several times early on to diffuse the coming storm...but even my voice wasn't loud enough to calm the rising tide...
And, now, I fear that thread is too far gone to save...

I hear you, and fully agree! There are times to rattle sabers and times to be rattle wine glasses and right now the two seem to be confused. It is a treat to meet another smuggler.

Indeed, and too boot it is not fair at all to SWG-Goliath. He did nothing to deserve his welcome thread turned into a flame pit. ;

I do appologize if my statement in that thread was taken as a flame. It certainly was not ment that way.
I have a tendancy to be blunt. I just lay it all out in front of people the way I see it. If they don't like me telling the truth of how I feel, I'm sorry, but I prefer blatant honesty over all else.

if i was a dev i would be ashamed at the shoddy implementation of several cannon professions / character types in this game.
I would also fully expect Lucas to send a gank squad round to my office to beat seven bales of crap out of me and my dev team for squandering what could have been a great chance to have a great game.
