I have given serious thought to dropping master smuggler lately. I use to play around with medic and have thought about returning to that and going up the doctor line.
I loved being a smuggler but I rarely use any of the actual skills. I never make spice, I enjoy slicing but only do it occasionally, I use TKA instead of pistols.
I do not want to let go of it in anticipation of the CU and out "revamp". But since I do not know what will come with either, and neither of which will occur for a least a few months I am contemplating doing the unthinkable, dropping smuggler.
So I come to you, my fellow smugglers for guidance.

I know Yamada. It was your decision to drop that pushed me closer to doing it myself.

I came close, I'm currently only a 4040 Smuggler, but Soon I'm going to go back to Master. I feel naked without it.
Then it's off to get Commando So I can be worthless now, and (hopefully) awesome after the CU.

This is exactly the same problem I've had lately...
But...here I am, still hanging on to the title...and I don't even wear that 90% of the time...
Couldn't tell you the last time I used a pistol for anything...
And the only thing I've sliced lately are Imperial Mission terminals...
So...why am I still a Master Smuggler?
*shrug*...I honestly don't know what I'd do with the skill points if I dropped it...
I've got a Merchant alt to play around with crafting or whatever...and no other Combat class really appeals to me...so I'd just have a whole bunch of unused skill points...

I went ahead and did it.
I am now no longer a master smuggler. Almost mastered medic and almost dropped all smuggler skills. It is a sad sad day.
But on the plus side and am enjoying being a medic again.

or you can experiment and drop everything but undeworld and dirty fighting and have some fun with the unused sp. you v=can grind up spice and slicing in a few hours.
breaks are good ... even healthy.
