Well,after harping on the subject of being reported and/or griefed by people it seems only fitting/karmic that I became my own case study last night.

A friend I've sliced for for eons (more or less) sends me a tell last night:

Friend: Hey D, can you slice a weapon for a newb in our guild?

Me: You know I don't slice for strangers anymore right?

Friend: <checks his "FindFriend" function> Ah, good you're at your house - I'm sending him right over.

Me: Sigh

So the guy comes around, asks my rate and I say 5K - he asks "and what % per slice" So I think this guy is on the ball - he knows the different methods and I tell him it's a flat rate.

I slice the weapon, trade it back, he puts 5K in the trade window - trade done, everyone happy - time for bed. But Whoaa not so fast, after a second he starts cursing - telling me he wants his cash back - that I didn't slice anything, that I'm trying to scam him. I mean, I lost a clamp and 2 charges off my knife so I know I sliced, but no dice - we go back and forth and finally he says "I've reported you"

Well I'm just stunned, never been reported before - so as this goes on his guild starts getting involved, my friend starts asking what's going on, other guildies are like "Give him his money back" and I'm just "OK, you know what, I'm reporting this as well" hoping that this gets cleared up.

So about 20 minutes later I get a sheepish tell from the mark "Um, I think I owe you an apology - I forgot that I bought 2 of the same weapons (factory crate because the serial numbers on both were the same), and I guess when you traded back, I may have done some double click and equipped the gun (same gun as he walked up with) and when I checked the unequipped gun (that he didn't give me) it wasn't sliced. When I finally checked the gun I had equipped and saw it was sliced.........."

So, if you find yourself in this situation - have the customer double check his equipped weapon

Lol, well thats one I haven't hear before. They need to make people read a disclaimer before asking a smuggler to slice something.
