Does anyone go along the Fixer line and sort of arrange business meetings? I was chatting in a cantina last night and ended up telling a musician I'd set her up with a certain kind of individual to appraise her crystals. Felt very in character.
Wondering if anyone does this sort of thing regularly? Was thinking of trying to establish a name for myself as an actual Fixer.

Semi-regularly, though I find the people who tend to RP this kind of character are generally Entertainers, as they "know" the most people.

I'm actually surprised by how many people I "know." I recently looked at my friends list. I had no idea I had that many people on there. hundreds... I should really organize them
But certain people are organized, BH's, Jedi (good/bad), within my guild's ruling council alone I've got an AS, DE, DOC/CM, Arch, and pvp squad at my disposal. So I figure I've got enough connections to make the most of the wait for Smuggling.

ROFL, I know the feeling, just read some post that was all ranting about how RPers need to wake up and realize that Galaxies isn't an rpg, and that just because RPers call Starsider the unofficial RP server doesn't make it so... it's one of those moments you yearn to punch the guy who posted the thread.
The trick is to find the highest concentration, for instance right now, it seems to be Eisley. Having a lot of fun in that cantina right now.

Yeah, I have been playing a bit of Ultima Online years ago then Dark Age of Camelot until last year and now SWG, and I see one common thing: roleplaying seem something hard to do in a MMORPG, and of course I find that very ironic.
I try to RP but if I see the person do not play along I try to at least get the conversation out of spatial. Now, I know it is a drop of courtesy in a ocean of non roleplayed spam, but hey, I am trying

I should flag my character as a roleplayer and see if it make a difference.

Does Roleplayer even show up above the head like helper or LFG?
Unfortunately, no.
Yeah, I wish it did.
Plus, whenever someone targets a Smuggler, they should get a popup window telling them the randomness of slicing, unless the person or the Smuggler is in combat. ![]()

I reside on Bloodfin, the least friendly role play server. It is why I started playing this game, to pretend I was existing in the Star Wars universe. I do not play it to gather "uber loot". BUt that seems to be what everyone else is after which makes it very hard to do.
Seems last year, before the hologrind, it was easier to do. But that could just be a touch of nostalgia.
