I was just browsing the trade forums, saw this gun, wondering if these numbers are feasible without the pup slice? I don't know a damn thing about crafting, or math for that matter, and so thought I'd put this here before I considered putting a bid in.

yep possible, if they had a very nice set of tissues. a good 30%+ damage slice and a pup on it, I've seen blasters hit the 500+ mark. Nice gun, though you can get some insane de-10s now in the 600-700 range.

/cries over his lousy de-10. it's worse than a decent pubic blaster. Yes, I said it. pubic.

Course, seeing as I didn't pay a dime and it's just for show, doesn't matter much to me

I could use a speed SEA or two but my geo blaster does the trick most of the time.

Stupid question but I"m gonna ask since I'm working on Smuggler. What do I need to be certified for a DE-10? I haven't seen it in any of the pistol professions, but then I know pistoleer gets the Geo pistol at x/x/2/x and it's not listed as a cert in any of the skill boxes either.

Lets do the math:

533/1.33 (the pup) = 401 max sliced damage

401/1.35 (35% damage slice) = 297 max unsliced damage

A normal Mod Rep Blaster is about 2.4 215 max, give or take.

So this gun could have been made with -.4 +82 tissues.

Also look at the min, as I recall mod reps have about 80 as a min (not sure on that) so that is close to what a 35% slice would bring it to.

Id say its likely this is a legit gun, but you never can tell.
