I dont play this game anymore but I think that Smugglers should get a tef to stormtroopers or any officer in general. Its illegal to slice right? well what are people doing it outside the freakin starport.. it should be done in private places in private company. Contracts should be signed, etc. this game is a freakin joke.
This is one of 5675687686789 problems with this game...(after how many years?! i played from start to about the time jedi started showing up and then only now-and-then)
enjoy your messed up world of a messed up Star Wars.

We are basically TEF'd. If we get scanned, we may be caught.
I don't think we should be "turned overt" if we slice something. Slicing is already a pain as it is, why make it harder?

I've suggesteda variation of this NUMEROUS times....
I think that hawking your smuggler status, displaying your smuggler title or slicing within a certain range of law enforcement should get you huge doo doo.
What we do now makes no sense. Our titles should get us in trouble and if a player wants to find us there should be a shady NPC in some back ally that will give the names of Smugglers just like a search would do...but without the need of displaying a title.

spice and sliced items are contraband
If you are slicing items or selling spice in a public place you should get busted and fined or just killed or jailed or whatever. im not saying to make it harder ro slice im saying make it really hard to do it in public. Couldnt it be modeled after Earth's police force and drugs/weapons? do it and public and get punished/chased or whatever. bounty hunters could come into effect sooner or later. It should be able it balance its self out.

i hear ya, makes total sense.. my seriously thought on this is.. why in George Lucas's name has this been SO messed up for SO long?! I mean I feel this way about so many things. If you are going to make a complex emersive world full of content and cool stuff.. at least have it be non-dev-tard logical...

Ya know...I think I'm past trying to explain why there is a Smuggler profession that has never been able to smuggle ANYTHING.
All I can do now is try and curb my temper enough that I don't get kicked off the forums.
Will we ever smuggle? I don't think ANYONE here knows that...probably not even Sony if you want to be really honest about it.
Based on track-record alone if ANYTHING remotely more important comes up it will get inserted in front of our revamp. That basically means that we have to get extremely lucky.
Hell we haven't, since day ONE, been able to get them to SIMPLY change theTEXT in the Master's box to explain the advantage to slicing. If that little item is so all-fired difficult then the rest of our revamp would seemingly require an act of God.

Please tell me I.m not the only one that thins this guy is an idiot. You don't play the game anymore, yet you still find the time to mock those who might still enjoy it (some what)...? I guess if that's what makes you little worl spin...

OK, on rereading it seems I may have misread "...world spin." for an abreviatioin of my name 'Spinning Cloud'...so I'm editing this message accordingly.
The original idea though has merit, it's rather stupid for criminals to be proclaiming and practicingtheir illegal services in public places with no repercussions. As a long time smuggler I'd like to see our activities treated as what they are...illegal. Eventually I'd even like to see something akin to actual smuggling.
Sorry if I overreacted....

Yeah... we don't have enough discontent on these forums. We're importing morons who aren't in the game to pointlessly whine and moan. On the other hand, we must support the rights of idiots to complain about things that they have nothing to do with.
