We are discussing something in a weaponsmith prechat on the launchpad chatroom swg discussions. If a couple dedicated smugglers can drop by and give their two cents please.

We are discussing the issue of vendor sold sliced weapons.

If you can drop by much appreciated.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

"5. ADK we generally accepted that nothing could be done about that."

Is that an Anti-Decay Kit or am I having yet another brain fart because of the flu? Personally, I always thought that items hold a sentimental value and was wondering why people had to go through them so fast.

I was always in favor of a system of very slow decay on an item with certain recharge packs needed to continue use. For example, a "power-pack" is what the Star Wars Universe uses as ammunition for their weapons. Guns weren't simply made and just used infinately until the gun broke.Power packswere like bullet clips.

Personally, I think that weapons should decay slowly but power packs would need to be purchased to continue use. Say, replace the current decay on weapons with power packs (that way they can be recharged for continued use) but have a second decay pool on the weapon for actual decay.

Crap, I can't think or explain nothing right tonight. *sneeze* *vomit*

I took a look at the WS discussion and I posted the following note to get their feedback.

Let me now whaT YOU THINK....

A reference to this discussion was posted in the Smuggler forum. As I read the discussion I want to add a little side note to let yall teh Wweapon Smith s know what I am trying to get started on the Flurry server regarding the slicing and smuggling of weapons (and armor).

I'm trying to second guess the GWC changes to come and to add a little "spice" to the environment.

As a Master Smuggler I am partnering with a Master Merchant to place a "black market" tent in my town of Antaria, Naboo, Flurry to be used for strickly illegal items (<- or anything that we can make look illegal).

I plan on contacting Weapon Smiths and Armor Smiths to contract for my slicing skills.
The "contract" will specify that the WS or AS bring his wares to the vendor in a well marked container and offer the goods to the vendor for 1 credit. The crafter will notify me via in game E-mail of the drop off.
the vendor will accept the items and deliver them to my lab where I will slice them.
I will them "smuggle" the illegal items back to the original crafter or to the crafter's designated delivery point.

Having the crafter drop off the goods and e mailing me eliminates the problems with setting up a meeting and removes the possibility of the honest crafter getting scanned with illegal goods. The E-mail lists the drop off/delivery clauses which will reduce crafted to sales time for the WS or AS.

The crafter gets sliced goods at little risk of scanning exposure and I get to do some real smuggling for a change.

The fees charged for my services will be discounted for the slicing and varying on delivery depending on the route I have to take to get the properity back to the drop off point.

If this is workable please let me know.

If your on Flurry and want to take part in my scheme in game e-mail me. Names Odai

And also being a Master Commado I like the heavy weapons part of yor discussion.

Thanks for yor patience in reading this post.
