I am trying to figure out what the highest cost discount one can get for faction items.
I am a human colonel with underword 4, and am currently at a -30% mod when buying Imperial faction items. At master smuggler it says I would get a 25% discount. Now I know this replaces the earlier 10% discount, but how much would that really add to my total discount? Anybody know if this caps off at some amount? Thanks!

Human Imperials don't get a discount, its just that they don't get a penalty. All other species get penalties. You're getting the 10% Smuggler discount, and quite probably the discount for "losing" the CoA story arc.
I've never heard of any discount cap.

To put it simply, right now, you're getting the following pricing: Normal Price - 30% CoA discount - 10% UW Discount.
Imperial Master Smugglers get this pricing: Normal Price - 30% CoA discount - 25% MS Discount.

Normal price for a Detachment HQ is 60000 FP.
Rebels with Smuggler UW pay 54000
Rebels with Master Smuggler pay 45000
Non-Smuggler Imperials pay 42000
Imperials with Smuggler UW pay 37800
Imperial Master Smugglers pay 31500

I cry every time I see that - costs my Imperial Master Smuggler Trandosian 69000 to buy that detachment.

Yeah, they really need to set up a cost cap at 60400, that way, it may take you back down to bare minimum, but it's still fitting with the Empire's bigotry and possible of being bought by a non-Human.
