I'm sure they're cursed. What are your experiences of slicing krayted guns in numerical terms. I've done both making and slicing and the feeling of seeing a newly made gun slice for speed is nothing compared to the sinking feeling when actually doing the slicing. If you're too traumatised to speak about I'll understand, but it would be nice to see your viewpoint on the krayted gun curse.

I have the same luck I have on any other weapon, 50/50 damage/speed. I'm not a big believer in the 'krayt slice myth'.

Damaged slices give less dps than speed slices if you are not speed capped. A non speed capped rifleman will prefer those lower speed T21s. People have just got it into there heads that if you're got a damage slice then your going to cause more damage
That being said I've only sliced one expeptional weapon that was a T21. It got a 21% speed slice when it was below the rifle cap on speed anyways. As said above it seems to be 50-50 speed or damage and will range between 15-35%, it's random. That being said I tend to get better slices on other peoples echanced guns, when it comes to mine it's alwayshigh speed slice orlow damage slice. I am speed capped which the slicing god's do hate

Yeah. Yesterday's slice to make you cry was on a T21, [email protected]. Would have been going to a guildie who's speed-capped and hasn't used their anti-decay kit yet. Now it's 4.5 spd on a 35% speed slice, had it been damage that would've been a 675 dmg gun.

I'm sure that'll be a lot more useful after the combat upgrade - hopefully speed balancing across ranged professions will be a bit more fair ;-)

I've actually hit damage slices quite a few times on krayted t21's. Infact on one particular one (named 'Destiny' nonetheless) I hit a 35% damage slice. 607 dmg on that bad boy

Or how about a rifle only having a range of 60-70m?
Then again, this game would be very interesting if rifles had anything like real life ranges...Imagine a master rifleman headshoting people at 1000m?

If things didn't despawn at that range

Sliced 2 krayt T-21's, got a speed slice on one, then a 24% damage on the other.
Acklay weapons are horrible for me too, especially on some nice 200+ damage bones. 3 stun batons were made, all speed, then 6 power hammers, 3 speed, 3 damage briging one over 800 damage.
I was a happy swordsman with that hammer.

I got some real good slices on krayted weapons but the last time I sliced some it was horrible.
Ah well, luck do turn once in a while.

see my post to your thread in the weaponsmith forums
but I've gone both ways on this I've gotten max 35% dmg slices on a lot of krayted and special weapons including t-21s and DE-10s but I've gotten equal as many crap slices on them as well.

so true - a decent range on rifles would be nice, even if it's 120m or something
