On the StarSider server something really strange happened to me. I was coming back into the city of Coronet and went in through one of the main entrances. A CorSec Chief and 5 other CorSec officers were standing there. I didn't think too much of since I have 5000 CorSec Faction Points. I walked in the chief and the other 5attacked me.
I turn and ran while firing my pistol over my shouldar taken completely off guard and was incapped and deathblowed by the chief. Luckily there was a Master Doctor in my guild within 200 meters and reved me.
I was wondering has this happened to anyone else, I had maxed out positive faction points with CorSec and it appeared as though they were there waiting for me the way the NPC's all reacted.

The way you describe it, it sounds rather "smugglerish" and kind of fun (except for the incap). Were you grouped? All I can think of is that maybe you somehow got a TEF.
I was once pulling swoopers into CorSec on Corellia. I have -5000 swoop and 5000 CorSec. The CorSecs were helping me kill the swoopers but I inadvertently hit one of the CorSecs. Even though I didn't kill the NPC, didn't lower my standing, and they didn't show red on radar, I had to stay away from them for a bit because the TEF had them attacking me. Is there a chance you or someone you grouped with attacked one?

No I was solo at the time and I hadbeen TEFed for killing some Imperials but the TEF from that had been gone for a good while I didn't go directly back to Coronet. Thats why I was asking if it had happened to anyone else whether if it was just a freak accident or had they really spawned for the reason to ambush me like that.

yes this Happened to me as well. Same deal was walking along paying no attention and the Corsec dudes tried to waste me. I dodged their stronger attacks and survived. I thought it was part of the imp crackdown yet I had no contraband. meh

On the day of the vehicles publish, my FD didn't work, and I got killed by a riverside mynok on Lok. When I cloned and came out of the cloning center, I was attacked by all of Nym's guards. Every other player in the area was also being attacked. I died about 6 times before I ran like a little girl to the space port.

Don't feel bad, I left Dantooine showing covert,when I arrived at coronat I went to the med center to heal myself. Bam, I declared and taken out by a sniper. What can you do.

Yes - it happened to me. I have a neutral Master Dancer on Tarquinas. I left him buff-dancing AFK in the Coronet Cantina. I came back later to find him dead on the floor. Quite a bummer! I checked the combat log and could tell it was the CorSec Chief that attacked and killed him, but nothing to indicate why I was attacked in the first place. Very strange!!

check your faction mine got flipped at somepoint. I hadn't done anything odd or out of place. I used to live on corellia and killed the rogue corsec's for xp and loot so i had positive 5k corsec -5k rogue corsec
Almost everyday i go through corellia for some reason then one day i landed to do some shopping and was attacked by corsec.
I was surprised and a bit amused. I decided to go on and when i entered the town later they attacked again...i checked and I had negative 5k corsec and positive 5k rogue. I hadn't been killing npcs anytime in the last month or so and I never attack the police classes as it makes getting in and out of cities unbuffed a hassle and the last thing a smuggler needs is police entanglements.
Anyway I sent in a ticket and it was addressed as a known but rare bug. (no i hadn't done anything like the neutral corvette either)
so check to be sure if you haven't...i had to spend a while at the rogue corsec poi.
SPACE, GCW, PvP, PvE, DWB runs

Yeah, I see (and experience) random corsec attacks almost daily now. I'm not sure when it started happening, but it wasn't too long ago.

I don'twant to sound cold and mean, but I feel the devs should make it so that anyone who leaves a character AFK buffing, of any type, should end up having thier character attacked by any type of local NPC and being killed. I hate AFK buffing.
Back onto the topic at hand, I hadn't been hit by this bug, that I know of, because I ended up running the Neutral Corvette with some friends several months backand it bottomed out my faction for me. Only advice I can give to raise your faction with them is to run Lord Nyax's hideout when its full. If it doesn't bring you up to above zero, it'll bring you damned close.

I periodically have the Corsecs open fire on me for no apparent reason...problem for them is I'm Master Pistoleer carrying a DE-10.
