*Shakes Fist* Curse you Team Low Blowyou kept up so late that I didn't wake upin time and was almost an hour late for work. Thankfullymy job is like a semi-consultant gig. I can keep almost any hours I wanted as long as I got the job done, and I'm in the office more then four hours.

Seriously though, we had a wicked good time last night. We had a rotating group of folks, usually when one memember left another person would get on to take their place. I was up way to late to remember everyone we grouped with, but the ones I do remember were Tomo, Wes, Ramsey, Sheeana, there was also 3 or 4 other guys who joined and I'm sorry I forgot your names. As Yoda might say: When up till 3am you have been, remember as well you will not. Heck I'm so tired that I barely remember my name, andI'm not even sure I'm going to tell this story in the right order but I'm going to try to tell it anyways.

We started the evening driving back the invading horde of desert demons using Wes' house as a rally/safety point. At one point the demons had us trapped in the house till we decided to run out guns blazing Smuggler style. After beating back the horde we moved on to the Jawa invasion, they spanked us. Hard to beat those haxxing level 140 Jawas. We decided to move on to Wayfar and we cleared the town of the Jabba henchmen and enforcers. I wonder if the devs put in secret code that if an NPC attacks a corresponent that the NPC sticks to them like glue. Every Jabba guy we fought instantly was attracted to Wes, no matter how far he was from the front line. Wes, thanks for being our bullet-catcher/meatshield.

Wes had to go to bed so he left the group. We then decided to run missions, the first lair was scyks. The first try at the opening defenders ended looking like a Benny Hill episode with them chasing us across the desert. After regrouping we tried to take out the opening defenders, this time we knew what to expect and attacked the stragglers first till we were able to get to the lair. Then we would pull the spawns away from the lair area to avoid agroing the other spawn. We beat the rest of the defenders and lair fairly easily after beating that initial wave.

The next mission was mutant womp rats which weren't too bad compared to the last mission. So after completing the mission we took a mini-break at that point, I needed training and the other guys had to go let more folks into the guild. We regrouped in Wayfar to loadup on more missions. The first mission after the regroup was, you guessed it scyks, and they were on the side of a hill. But we had one more group member this time and some of us had picked up new skill boxes so the group was a bit tougher then before. At first we debated about attacking or aborting the mission and moving on. I think it was Tomo who helped us decide by attacking a couple of the stragglers. They weren't a cakewalk, but we weren't getting our butts handed to us like before. We ended up completing the mission.

The next mission was a fairly easy rodian thug type mission. We wiped them out pretty quickly, and yes we shot first. The mission after that was major pain in the butt. It was a swarming dewback mission, now the dewbacks weren't that hard for us, we wiped out the defenders pretty easily. The lair turned out to be our biggest challenge, the sucker had 60k hitpoints. Took us a while to get the lair to the point where it spawns the next wave of defenders, but most of us had pretty low action by then so we couldn't kill the defenders fast enough and they healed the lair back up. We went back to work on the lair, we got it to about 1/2 of it's hitpoints and the last wave spawned, and like before they healed the lair to full hp before we could kill them. After we dispacted the defenders We sat there for almost 10-15 minutes just shooting the lair. At one point we debated about if we want to abort the mission or not, 900 credits wasn't worth all that effort. We stay though and blew up the lair just on principal. Now at this point it was already pretty late and we lost one group memember to going to bed.

We decide to do one last mission before we all logged out for the night. The next mission turned out to be our arch-enemy of the night the scyks. It started out fairly ok till we agroed the whole first wave. We all stood our ground this time. It seemed like this was going to be our last stand. Group memembers started calling out "almost of our action" one by one. I don't know if it was luck, good timing or just general perserverance, but we defeated the first wave of defenders. We all sat down a moment to recharge our action before spawning the second wave of defenders. The second wave was pretty tough fight, but not as nearly bad as the first wave of defenders. At this point it was 3am for me and the other guys too I think, so we decided to abort the mission and drive back to Wayfar to log out. The other guys went to Wayfar, I had gained enough combat xp to train in master marksman so I used my yacht to fly out of Jabba's starport to Bestine, then I logged out too.

Overall it was an awesome night, fighting against the odds and winning, hanging out with a bunch of great folks. Now if they can fix the dumb bugs and UI issues like the group window not refreshing, and bringing back some kind of combat queue. There was a few times where I was warming up on one shot and had one queued but if I had been able to clear the queue I could have healed folks in time. Once they get the bugs out of the way the combat upgrade will bring fun back to the game I think. I'm almost excited to see what mid-level mobs will be like once I get home and train up in novice Smuggler andpistoleernow that they have turned on the trainers.

Yay US!!!

That was a complete blast... Reminded me of launch... Actually, after playing with a few of the smugglers here I'm damned tempted to start a sever move to get us all together.

Been thinking the same thing, but I can already see how it'd turn out. SmugglerAdouble crossesSmuggler Belse for a few quick credits, while Crips A off to payD, who's secretly scamming C and his business partner E, who, meanwhile is happily conning B and F,who he supplies tools to by way ofintermediateG. G is in fact acompulsive scammer, making massive profit from reselling H's clamps, I's Knives, J's AUKs and K's WUKs. But that's gone unnoticed since H and J have both been manipulating the industry prices to get back at L, who's foolin around with C's wife, to extort money out of D to pay his crippling debt to M, the most head honcho of the Tatooine spice trade, who, while assuming he controls the Gemstone spawns, is actually beoing scammed by hisleiutenant N, who has massive gambling debts to O. Q, of course, is a thoroughly bad egg with a history of scamming, so he is forced to work through P, who is skimming lots off Q's various ventures, as R is well aware, to his considerable advantage. S is aware of the blackmail, and is in return extorting R, by way of their common interest in T's slicing business, which is ripe for scamming, considering H, I, J and K are unaware they're supplying the tools but seeing no real return. U is taking from both sides, promising to keep quiet, but, of course, has already sold the secret to both V and W, the arch rivals, both being scammed by their mutual friend, X, who works for Y, who's been fleeced by Z, so he can pay off his debts to A.

To be honest, the assassination rate of Smuggler City mayors is so high, it's probably best not to ask

haha! TLB for the win!!!

seriously i think we've gotta be the most fun-loving and dedicated group of testers on TC5.
i've been having a blast with all you guys in TLB.

it will be sad when the CU goes live and TC5 is no more
it's almost like Smuggler summer camp! haha!

when it's all over we'll be saying "K.I.T." and signing each other's yearbooks.
for anyone who wants to switch servers, may i suggest Sunrunner. we have a decent sized RP community there.

I have to say, choosing whether to spend my time with the Mandalorian Commandos, or coming back to smuggler for TC5 was tough choice.

Commando was my first profession in SWG. Soon after I mastered it, I added Smuggler to the mix. I'd always wanted to do a master Smug/Pistoleer/Fencer...a real swashbucklin' pirate! Yarr. Sadly, it was not to be.

Bounty Hunter and Pikeman were my two other beloved professions...BH back before anyone was a jedi and there hadn't been a fix for inv xp and Eyeshot ruled the world...and pikeman, well, pikeman just sucked. But I loved it anyhow.

The pressures of Live started to get to me. The in-fighting between guilds, between factions, between Jedi/Bounty Hunters. I'd log in, buff and after no more than an hour, I was loggin out.

Then I had an epiphany of sorts. The folks over on TC sounded like a good bunch. So I made a toon and had my first forray in TestCenter. With three toons per TC acct, you have alot of flexiblity. TC was like a breath of fresh air...so much so that I haven't been on a Live server in over a year.

I've made alot of new friends on TC5 and I encourage them to meet me on TC-Prime when this is all over. It's a great place to keep friendships going, take a break from Live and actually enjoy the game.

Just before TC-Prime was mothballed for CU testing, Bib Fortuna was in the New Unity cantina, eyeing new dancers for the mighty Jabba.

TestCenter is looking for a few shady men. Are you devious enough?

Hehe. Yes and no, respectively. TC is a very nice place when you get to know people. It's been a while since I played him, but I got a smuggler named Ichiban there.

Yep. Sometimes TC can be rough....odd down times with little notice...TIggs trys to stay on top of it though.

But yes, you can play a reg toon on TC and no they dont wipe it clean with each patch. For big stuff like the CU, they just mothball it. Once this is all done CU-wise, TC-Prime should be back up and running just like normal....we hope.
