Ok, call me crazy but should chefs and other players craft illegal goods and then we smuggle them?I think that would bring more content to the game for everyone.
PlayerA can hire me to smuggleX amount of good to PointA, I get seached by an NPC imperial...the NPC ask, "Where did you get these from? A box appears for me to enter PlayerA's name.I type PlayerA's name in the box...my visibilty only goes up a little and PlayerAgets put on the BH terminals. I most likely will lose my smuggling business with PlayerA.
If I decided not to give PlayerA's name, my visibilty goes up but I will remain in good standing with my contact (PlayerA).
Of course this sytem wouldnt work cause I can enter a fake name and have an innocent person put on the terms. Maybe someone can put more thought into this. LOL. I just dont think we should be the ones crafting illegal goods.

Sounds like fun
And quite intelligent, however chances are you should have the option to resist arrest and also drop the spice before you're found.it should only work if the name is right, if it's a bluff then the stormies go to the player and talk to that player if they can bluff their way out then they should then send a larger troop to the smuggler.

Why would a cook know anything about cutting and refining drugs? Few if any of the spices out there are foods. Hell, sometimes we're ingesting/injecting/inhaling droid lube. If a chef knows anything about cooking droid lube, I'm staying away from that guy's kitchen.
Not meaning to flame or anything, as I agree completely with your fundamental point--that we should first and foremost be smugglers. It just kind of irks me when I see suggestions that involve taking more abilities away from us. I've been nerfed enough already.
Have you checked out our In Concept threads in that forum? If that stuff goes through, nobody'll be crafting spice; the only way for us to get it in circulation is either as a reward for a smuggling mission or by stealing it from our employers. It sounds really cool, actually, and I'm hoping we'll see a system like that sooner rather than later.

lol.. actually I was just moaning the other day about people talking about other threads without providing a URL, so if you haven't found it already, here's a link to the document discussing this proposal.

I don't care who or what (NPC) crafts spices as long as it's not me as a SMUGGLER doing it. I'm happy to smuggle it but if I wanted to craft then I'd have taken up a lucrative CRAFTING profession.

Yeah the concept sounds good after all this was exactly what Han Solo was doing.
Hopefully they will add glittersim spice aswell.
