it's looks like both the renegade and the deathhammer take krayt tisse as they both use ABPH (advanced blaster power handlers). I think the renegade will take 3 and the death hammer will take one. looks like my stockpile of over 200 krayt tissues all over +50 will be getting reduced some

Hmmm, coupla questions...
Will tissues still have the same stats after CU? I thought one of the issues was trying to stop people having insane weapons - like a pistol that does as much damage as a t21.
Also, I thought that scopes etc had been removed? Looks like they're still on the schem for the pistols.
Maybe this is more a thing for the ws boards?

krayt tissue will prally not have the same stats but I figure the best tissue will still be the best after the CU, just not as powerfull

looks like we (TLB) has to hunt a few krayts and see what they drop... wasn't there one sleeping lately on the stairs of the hall? Heard storys...
About barrels/scopes/stocks they stay there in the creation, but won't appear. This is what was said before they whiped the weaps on TC and threw in all the "new" stuff with the alternate appearance.

There cannot be a pistol that does as much damage as a T21, even if it's a good pistol and a bad T21. Reason: T21s have (until the CU) heavy armor piercing. Even the heaviest pistol has only light. That means that, whatever else is true, big rifles do more damage than the biggest pistols.
Exception: Exceptional weapons are possible. Such weapons can have mad high stats, but are possible for pistols and rifles. They are loot weapons.

From a balance standpoint - its entirely possible that tissues will have the same stats. Weapon stats are now higher, making the improvements that tissues give statistically lower. Also keep in mind what was making weapons insane wasn't neccessarily the tissues, but the tissues + slice + powerup. 2 of those have been significantly altered with the cu already.

I thought armor piercing went the way of the dodo in the CU.

I think the real problem was in PVP with those weapons. When you compare the best pistol vs an average t21 when fighting a krayt, the t21 will win, because of the heavy armor. But, when you look at players, we could not get better than light armor, so it didn't matter. With the changes coming our way in the CU, I belive that these problems will go away.

You're right, Shren.
However, Rifles should still outdamage Pistols in a one-shot contest. However, when you gotta take multiple shots, Pistols will fire much more often than Rifles.
