Thread: Do I need Pistoleer with Smuggler?

To be efficent at the smuggler class, would it make a difference damage wise if I added Pistoleer?

You would be a lot quicker and more accurate with a pistol if you did. I only do PVE so I got TKA instead with a bit of commando thrown in. When in trouble I also have novice artisan so i pretend to survey and hope they leave me alone.

I'm Master Smuggler/ Master Carbineer. It works nicely but eats more skill points than a Smuggler/Pistoleer combo.

A lot of Smuggler and Pistoleer specials are similar. Both are deemed 'crowd control' by SOE so have a lot of overlap.


Many of us respeced out of Pistoleer into something like, *gag*, MBH as a compliment to Smuggler. Even I took MBH with respec though the idea leaves me feeling a bit ill.

No you dont need pistoler with Smuggler, Though the skills should complment each other. Personaly I went with MCH with smuggler, I'm having a blast with this template.
