Maybe a peaceful protest like this would get some attention and it would be a nice punch in the mouth to all the loot whores trying to sell basic components for 500k and up. Just say no to any auction or sale of the new slicing components.

All you need to do is make a note in the auction, reminding potential bidders that outrageous tool prices equals even more outrageous slice prices.

Questions like "Would YOU pay me two million for an 8% damage slice?" usually make the point quite adequately.

Yeah... saw the auction. Sorry about that.

I will have to say that I won't be buying any kits from vendors or auctions though. I've got hundreds of them scattered across multiple houses, etc from salvaging.

hehe np i got my creds in the end and it turned into an intresting thread
was kind of a experiment in a way to see if i could get rid of them in bulk for the same price as vendoring them cause i got hundreds more than i need and no space to put my new wookie world furniture hehe

I am totally against looting as a single means of obtaining slicing components.

Please include obtaining slicing components as payoffs for smuggler missions, as "skimmed" from smuggler cargo, as loot, as bonuses from smuggling contracts, as trade from NPCs (Jabba, etc.)

Having ONE way to obtain slicing components is very bad.

I don't believe I've ever heard anyone say thatthis won't happen. In fact, a similar concept was already described by the devs to replace spice crafting. The biggest issue is that, unless I missed them, there are no smuggling missions.

Now, once smuggler missions are in the game, I would support this wholeheartedly. Until these missions actually exist, loot seems to be the best option.

Now you'd think that if SOE actually considered this a good idea they'd FIRST have left the smuggling content In Concept post up... Then, they would have actually replied to many of the suggestions and comments IN that thread and even modified their concepts to include some of these great ideas.

But what you have instead is both threads In Concept disappearing and what we GET for slicing bears no resemblance to what was In Concept and there is NO replacement to the smuggling mission thread.

What conclusions would YOU draw about the likelyhood of getting smuggler missions with slicing tool rewards in our lifetimes?

I'm selling all my slicing components. Sold 2 simple's to a young slicer for 30k and 1 simpleto a master who was desperate to get his slice on and drop smuggler for 30k.

I also purchase a delicate trigger assembly for 3k on the bazaar from someone who obviously didn't understand it's value.

I'm not looking to get rich at the expense of my fellow ex-smugglers, just make my credits back from the absurb amount I spent on crates to salvage the last remaning auk/wuk.

Any suggestions on pricing for the trando intraframes, absorbent padding and reactive microplating I have in stock?

- I support a re-implementation! I did NOT buy a FPS game!

Maybe setting a price list for the items that smugglers would be willing to pay for and go with that.
