Hi everybody. Im Chopper, and I just made Master Smuggler today. I had read some of the upgrades Smuggler were supposed to get, and thought it would be fun since Ive played the smuggler proffession in the past, and with all the new slices, and smuggling missions that were suppose to be coming up. I just couldnt resist.

Then after I made Master Smuggler, I started looking into slicing. Needless to say I was extremely disapointed. I didnt know Slicing tools were now Loot. Ive even heard that Kryat Dragons drop the tools that we need. Why a Kryat would be carrying slicing tools is beyond me. If the information is even correct.

Now Im hearing that we get our "Loot" slicing tools from the DWB. Thats insane. Anyone been down there? Its suicide without a cracker jack group.

I just made Master Smuggler today and Im already thinking of dropping it.

Can any of you veteran Smugglers give me any advice? Or correct any of my information? Maybe I am just misinformed.

I'm not a veteran but after pondering my master BH/smugglers future post Pub19....I dropped smug like a bad habit.

- I support a re-implementation! I did NOT buy a FPS game!

anyways DONT drop right away cause there are too many upset smugglers atm and the devs ment to have EVERY auk and wuk be salvagable where as right now only the last one in a crate is, so SMUGGLERS wait for a update if still concidering and nothing changes

I would saythe opposite thing to all theSmugglers. I wouldask them todrop all their skills. That way there will be just a few of us and we'll be able to charge much more for our slices

(just kidding)

Wait for an update. I'm Smuggler and Creature Handler, I think the two professions that were hardly hit with publish 19. You know, all the non-BE pets downed to lvl 1. Because of that, many people dropped CH but it seems as tomorrow we;ll be getting a hotfix for that.

I hope we will have a fix that makes WUKs/AUKs cratessalvagable and convert laser knives and clamps into something useful.

It seems like the only thing worth a dam for smuggler now is the Underworld branch. The BH's are seeming to like the Concussion shot, but other than that Im not seeing the benefit to being a professional smuggler with these changes. TKM/Doc is looking better and better.

I like the MS role. But there is no content and everything the Development team does is poorly thought out and even worse in its execution. There are other things to do while you wait, but if we don't see things by today (AUK WUK fix)it is not going to happen. Again when a lot of folks have playing time the development team has seen fit to break the game. Smugglers have been promised for a long time a fix for content and roles, but it has not yet happened.

The mystery of SWG is how it stays afloat at all.

The biggest threat to the survival of the smuggler profession is the extreme proliferation of WHINEY-A$$ posers claiming to be smugglers but acting like j3di.

Yes, indeed, all the twits who respeced to smuggler as the FOTM because they wanted to expliot our unbalanced Concussion shot or wanted cheap/easy slicing are upset. Hopefully, they'll be moving on -- soon. Very soon.

Don't let them get you down. Smuggler is a great profession and has been consistantly improving. I suggest that you give the profession a month or two to get used to it. Our combat is very different b/c of our crowd control. The new slicing will take some getting used to, but it is significantly better than the random slicing we were saddled with before.

You can bail out now after working your way up, but I think you'd be cheating yourself based on the poorly-founded opinion of others.

Good luck on theDevs coming up with a hotfix to allow existing auk/wuk crates to be convertable. Imo, their goal with thenew slicing changes is change the focus of how components are obtained.

If they allowed auk/wuk crates to be salvaged, I'm surethere are some as/ws who still have schematics that would allow them tocontinue to produce auk/wuk crates for a short period of time. Flooding the slicing marketwith easily obtainable items watering downthe rare component/loot item shift.

Really,if the devs wanted smugglers to not experience the heartache they currently are with Pub19....an IGemail would have been sent to everyone in the smuggler profession warning them that crates wouldn't be convertable and to pull as many as possible. Instead they chose to leak the info on the forums which some (many)ppl don't pay read, possiblyin hopes that many crates would be uselessforcing ppl to goloot their own components thus furthering the new slicing system.
