I suppose this is a nice enough place to vent my fustrations from selling my FP.

First up im a smuggler atm but dont buy the FP from the recruiter i get them in space since i spend alot of time there since my alt is a SW. I sold quite a few at the rate of 100CP FP which i believe to be cheap and im not trying to annoy smugglers by undercutting them its just i need quick sales so i dont cap on them. I sold quite a few when i first started and made a nice amount of money but now i am going imperial because i want to do the imperial squadrons and get the JSF so need to get rid of all my rebel factions so i start spamming.

In game i get told 100CP FP is expensive and 70 is the going rate from one guy, another i wait for logs after trying to get me down in price to 80 and on the forumsanother smuggler undercuts me to 90 CPU meaning he makes a whopping 3.6 CP FP. These are just some of the things happening to me today my game is on hold till i sell them and it seems it'll just be easier to bloody just leave the rebellion and have them disappear into oblivion.

I feel sorry for smugglers now because of the amount of ignorance in the game, there is no moral to this just needed to vent to people who would understand.

You're dealing with smugglers....of course they're going to try to undersell the competition, even if it's for a few measley credits.

Here is something to think about....

Don't have your sole income be from Slicing, Spicing, or selling FP.

Then when crap like this happens, just shrug and say "If you don't like my price, feel free to find someone else to do it for ya." and walk away.

More time for you to go enjoy something else.

One thing you could do if you just want to dump them would be to help new players get into the Rebellion by giving them your faction points. Another thing you could do is buy faction perks and sell the perks instead of the points. Faction perks are kind of weird if you ask me cause you'll have folks who balk at 100 credits per FP, but it seems they will gladly shell out 100 credits a pointto buy theperks from you.

maybe "you're" the problem here.

And I don't mean that in an accusitory way

but you must realize you're not the only one in this position. many folks are dropping faction for the JSF quest, or spenind a ton of time in space getting "free" FP (as you said, you'd be up there anyway) and well, that's the market. it sucks that smuggler purchase prices are fixed at such a high price, but well, that really don't end up mattering at all when a number of people are facing the "need to dump it" situation all in a matter of a month or two.

just the way the market is, driven by people making the same logical decisiosn you are.

I don't understand why you're getting a headache over this. If you HAVE to get rid of those pesky FP... just sell them for very cheap. Hell, GIVE them away, as has been suggested. Do some role playing in Mos Eisley... whisper to some newbs to get them to join the rebellion... and give them like 10,000 fp. Make sure you're wearing a shadowy robe when you do it.

This reminds me of the people that say 'oh, you don't how much trouble it is to be rich... it's a lot of work managing all that money! I wish I was poor like you and had no worries...'

If someone yells at you for undercutting their prices, heck with them. If that's the way it is, that's the way it is... if there are so many people getting 'free' faction points in space and selling it for less than smuggler's 'cost' on buying faction, it just renders yet another smuggler ability basically useless... which sucks for our profession, but... it's not like we can force everyone to sell faction for at least 100 credits per point.
