Thread: Level 4 damage component prices

On the Bria Trade forum the level 4 damage component is being auction. The starting bid is 500K and i'm very curious to see how much this thing will sell for.


I'm soo glad that this is the invisioned mini-game for slicing that the devs intended on. Loot camping and paying for overpriced items on the trade board is an f'n Blast!!!

(a) there isn't a level 4 damage

(b) I can't see why, with daamge caps and the relative ease of getting tisues /shards why thse top tier slice parts would hold long term value... only thing that would keep them afloat are kash weapon drops... IF there aren't caps easily hit there as well.

Yeah I believe that it offers a WHOPPPING 8% increase in damage. I'm not totally sure because I'm never going to do one because I have NOOOOOO intention of farming Krayts on the off chance that one may have eating something that I need to complete the slice.


And for god sakes; whom ever is feeding these monsters these gd componets to begin with;please stop!!! It cannot be healthy for krayt....

They will sell for whatever the foolish are dumb enough to spend on them. Remember, as Smugglers, we control the end result of the product and don't need to buy anything. There is a certain loot mania that occurs in these games which resluts in things like adhesives being sold for ridiculous amounts of credits. Pretty funny when you think about it. Just because it's there doesn't mean you need to buy it.

My apologies it was just a level 4 slicing component for speed. (Whopping 12%) My anger has clouded my judgement when it comes to these things.

I wonder is it will stay that high. The people that can afford to pay 500k + smuggler slicing fee can also afford to just buy a Top-Of-The-Line gun that is at the cap and will not need to be sliced. The people needing a slice may be the people that cant afford TOTL guns or armor. But I am betting it will stay high.

I would say that a lot of them don't realize that damage slice is based off of your minimum damage only (including myself til la little bit earlier) I wouldn't pay more than a 100k including the actual charge for slicing for that sort of an increase.

Well... per other posts, we can't slice past the speed cap or the damage cap... and critical strikes are broken right now? Soooooo... can't be much of a market for level 3 weapon customization components. But yeah, it'll be interesting to see where the prices 'level off'...
