I have returned from a long time away and was slicing some armor and noticed that the box said something about a chance for the armor to fail on the battlefield. Does this mean slicing armor may cause it to "break" in some way at a random time?

I read the FAQ and didn't see this covered(unless I missed it)

No, there is no chance that it will fail as a result of Slicing.

There was going to be a system that included that, where Smugglers would fix any 'broken' items that exploded during combat as a result of being sliced, but it was buggy on test center (weapons exploded after one to three shots fired) and there was some terrible feedback for it as a result. What we have now was termed 'Plan B'.

Which is not having any negative effects at all?
