Just a thought, I would really like to see us gain the ability to slice ship components for enhanced effects. Sdaly I doubt this will ever be implemented

I'd love to see it. I had the same thing in mind. We should be able to slice certain things in ships. Such as guns, shields, the hyperdrive, perhaps? And while we are on the subject, what about droids? Slicing their shields (if they get some...), boosting their damage like weapon slicing, and higher resists like what we have with armor slicing.
Maybe we could also add some extra things to the ship. Places to hide smuggled goods? Han had it in the floor. I remember inKOTOR it was in the wall of the storage room. It's something to think about.

I was thinking the same thing about hiding goods in ships.
Yeah slicing droids would be a pretty cool feature. Maybe slicing them to improve their crafting ablities like an exp. bonus or what ever they'll do in the expansion for the ships.

what about crafting stuff for shipwrites to use in ships, like hidden compartments or fuzzy dice?

I agree...this has been brought up on the JTL forums...and the poor guy got flamed right off the board. I do think it would be great for a master smuggler to be able to slice certain components/systems on ships to improve performance.
A five for you :-D

Personally... I don't want to see ship modifications made a public feature. Sure it's more business, but there are some habits that are hard to let go, and that is keeping the edge.
I'd rather see smugglers able to slice aspects of their ship, in an ongoing tinkering with the systems, over just slicing a component and moving on.

Sounds good to me. I'd hate for the Smuggler's JTL "content" to be making us grease monkeys as well as slice monkeys.

/agree
Why should I make someone else's ship better than mine?

Well here is a thought we can "slice" mission terminals to trick the payout systme and get more money...why cant we slice a component and make it do better and yield a higher output..seems like the same principal to me after all Han Solo being the smuggler he is ...is quoted "I made a lot of special modifications myself" if slising is illegal i would call it "modifications" as well. This would tie in good for artisans making bikes..and the ship builders we could get in on the credits then and that makes me as happy as Jabba getting a carbonite han solo.

I like the idea of slicing my own ship, would give smugglers thet extra feel... keep their "civilian" ships up to par with the military ships
as it should be.
