I'm new to the smuggler community but not new to crafting. It does not seem to matter what quality of components I use to make clamps or knives. During crafting the tool states that conductivity is the important stat for components. I have not seen a difference in the final product no matter what conductivity value i use for the components. Is the final product the same no matter what, even when i experiment on the product? As a crafter this confuses me. I would think the better the components, the better the product.
Any insite on this would be appreciated.

It has been stated by GreenMarine that the quality of tools, and therefore the quality of materials to make those tools, has no effect on slicing outcome. So don't waste good materials on slicing tools, use your average grind quality materials.

Thank you for the info. Again im still confused, but i have a answer. Why allow experimentation if the outcome has no importance to the final product?

You could ask the same thing about furniture, factories, survey tools, instruments, fishing poles, etc. etc.

Hey it saves a lot of time with not having to care on what materials you get to make your slicing supplies.
