Thread: PC on slicing

Ok guys, some of you know I made Master Smuggler about a week ago. I am loving it!!
I've kept up with the forums through my path to Master and have paid close attention to what you guys charge as Master so that I can stay in about the same price range. My prices for Slicing are 45K for a full suit of armor (simplfies priceing)or 250 credits per pentage point for indivudual pieces and 250 credits per pecentage point for weapons. I have had a couple of people complain that this is to high.Is this off from what the majority of you guys do?
I saw a master smuggler spaming in Coronet on the Naritus server all slices 2K. How in the world is he making money this way? I Make my own PLK's and MC's and I still couldn't make any money this way!
Let me know what you guys think. I think its probably beneficial if we are all charging about the same.

People will charge what they want, no matter what. I charge 5k per slice, no matter what it is. Weapons, armor, single items, full suits, doesn't matter. Fixed price, no discounts for "low" slices. Makes it real easy to figure what they owe you. I rarely get a complaint about my price anymore, and when I do, they either pay anyway or go somewhere else.
And last night, I got some really decent slices, so all my customers were happy. One of them came to me for my 5k slice even though he had to wait for me to finish another guy's armor and there was a Master Smuggler spamming "Tired of being ripped of with high priced slices? I slice everything for 100cr/%." I was rather annoyed by the spam, but the 32% damage slice on the guy's Scythe was nice.
By the way, I don't spam (it's illegal, you know) and I'm not searchable (no criminals advertising in the phone book), so they have to find me for me to slice.

It's your profession, charge what you like. The laws of demand and supply will determine how much cash you make, so maybe you're better off slicing less and making more, while someone else is permanently slicing and not making a huge profit. I slice for tips, no rate, and I get tipped 3-5k a slice, sometimes more.
I'm happy so long as I don't have to spam around Coronet

Slicing is fun... but I don't do it for a living. After about the first 10 tells I usually remove my Master Smuggler tag. Ok... that helps a little as far as the pricing. I think I will leave it the way it is. It's not like I go out looking for things to slice... people send me tells... I offer to slice for my price.
