Thread: What am I doing wrong with Feign Death????

Ever since I've master Smuggler FD hasn't worked at all for me. Whether I'm standing still, runnning, crouching, whatever, all it does is say " You prepare to feign death" and then doesn't do anything 
One of the Four Horsemen of the Smuggler Apocalypse!

We have to hit peace?
I usally just hit FD while in combat and after the 3-5 seconds (depending on lag) that it takes to cycle through the combat *thingingie* ( I just woke up and can't think of the word but you know, where you see all your specials spammed, yeah that thing) and then on the next hit that gets landed on me I go down like the titanic with 0 incap timer and can get up when ever I want.

No, never hit peace. It actually freezes FD. You will get that message 'you prepare' yet because you hit peace and are no longer in combat it wont trigger.

you actually have to get hit and take damage to feign death. so "you prepare" comes up, the you get smacked, and you take a dive. wouldn't be realistic if you just fell over would it?

Kinda explains why my amateur feign death macro didn't work

Suffice to say, I never got it working.

I find the pause helps when the game is a little laggy.

I've had a couple of occaisions where FD simply doesn't work. It gives the message, uses the appropriate HAM, but I never feign.. and eventually am incapped and die. I can't make it repeat itself with any consistency (thank goodness). My best guess has been that there is some kind of lag in the combat code. Once you get the 'you prepare to feign death' message, even a devastation blow should result on you being feigned. Indeed, I've often been lying on the ground with a pretty sizable incap timer, but am properly FD, so when the timer hits 0 and my HAM goes back up, I can stand up and run away like a little girl with the best of em.
I've opened a bug report the last two times this has happened to me. Both instances were on Dathomir (one hunting Sith, the other hunting NightSisters). Keep opening bug reports each time and hopefully we'll get someone to fix this.
