Thread: What's really broken

I been thinking about it for a while and feel that this is whats really wrong with the game.
The whole timeline is skewed, we started the cries of Alderaan how long ago? How long from the destruction of Alderaan to the destruction to the Death Star? While SOE concentrates on new game mechanics the real story has been tossed in the corner and left to molder. Thestories that make the star wars galaxy compellinghave been abandoned in favor of new systems, new quests, the glitz and glamorous. SOE, and soon hopefully LA, needs to get back to the story that drives this universe. Fix whats broken stop adding crap and get back to it to the issue. The battle between the Rebels and Empire should be raging. Instead the community is obsessed with the Jedi who are not even supposed to be around.
I only post this here because I know the smuggler community can offer thoughtful and insightful comments. That and I happen to be a smugger.

It's not glitzy and glamorous. it's ugly and stupid 
The GCW was going just fine during the old story arcs. Then came Jedi, and BUFFS. people don't liek to talk about that, but buffs have ruined this game at least as much as jedi have. The reason the combat balance is necessary, The reason it's taking so long to implement, is because the old system was balanced for the 500-1000 HAM that EVERYONE used to have.Then they brought out buffs, and then had to throw a couple of hot patches in for HAM cost on weapons , so now you can't even use specials without buffs... You can't find a normal, 20 person RAID group, or even a 5-10 person hunting group anymore, why? because of buffs. This game is filled with people who do nothing but grind money and skills on ONE planet ALL THE TIME, and then eventually start grinding out millions of xp so they can kill people with a flashlight. Then they say theyre bored. that there's no content. take out buffs, do SOMEthing about jedi, like take them out of pvp or something for a little while, reset the ham costs, and let people break out of the monotonous grind that they think is somehow starwars.

Yeah your right I haven't seen a doctor in the field in a while. The buffs also killed the spice market, food works like spice with no downer so was are still screwed.
