Ipicked up Feign Death andup until a week ago I used it and had no problems executing the move at 0/0/1/0 smuggler. Recently I have noticed that I will hit the button and it will cycle through combat que (as if it were executed) however he never feigns. It as if it didnt work but I receive no message indicating that the move did not work. I would love to know if any has had this problem and if going up further the branch 0/0/4/0 would help or fix the problem.

By a decision of the Great Temporary Jedi Council in hiding, Dirty Fighting moves have been deemed unsuitable for anyone aspiring to learn Jedi skills, and thus are being blocked by many a Jedi meditating in a hidden cave on Yavin IV and channeling the Force to prevent such events from happening throughout the galaxy.

(But seriously - don't go LD while feigning. It's likely that you'll have to die and/or clone to reset the FD to be workable again. It's a semi-known bug - the 'search' button is your friend. )

oh god, not another one :/

as mentioned above, Consider this as the price for disconnecting while feigning death - hardly an honourable Jedi trait.

By the way, you might like to know that most of us are lobbying to get the modifiers to work, and if that happens, yeah, you will fail at 0010 every so often, you will die, and you will lose xp. boo hoo.

Directly from the Smuggler FAQ:

I hit Feign Death and still died?
Feign has several instances in which it will not work:

If it was not first in the Que, hit ctrl-Backspace to clear your que before FD.
If you're kneeling.
If your HAM is too low to commit Feign (~155 HAM cost)
Also, we gain Feign skill as we advance (+10 +20 etc), the more enemies attacking you the higher chance for failure.

There are instances where FD won't work, for example if you go LD while in an FD state you won't be able to FD until you die and clone.

Today I was doing some PVP and was getting chased by a combat medic, I had been poisoned and hit the feign death. Before it was accepted in my combat que I hit clear knowing that DOTs would interrupt it and kept running. The other player (CM) started sending me tells that they are reporting me for exploit.

You see aparently I was running around with my feign death tag up and they could do no damage to me. Has this happened to anyone else? This person later said they would not report me because it wasn't on purpose & I would absolutely freak out on SOE if I got banned for such a thing...any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hmm, have you noticed how it is hardly ever smugglers that ask about FD?

I wonder how many people saying 'FD doesn't work for me, it must be broken' actually have anything more than Dirty Fighting 1?

They are why people are crying out for a FD nerf
